I have lived in the summerville/ladson area for 11 years now and I have a few places in mind. The Leber correctional institute is not too far away and it will be abandoned in no time. Getting out of the city is the best idea anyone can have so jedburg, knightsville, and B.F.E is your best bet. Go find some open land and learn how to survive on crops, hunting without guns, and filtering/acquiring water in the woods.

Myrtle Beach is a very bad idea for several reasons. I am a south carolina native and have been to myrtle beach many times. First of all it is a decent sized city with a population of 32,00 people. In the summer time it can get to close to 80,000 with tourists which is the states top industry. And if the undead were to attack people would flood to the coast in hopes of escaping out to sea so you would have nearly 5x the average population there at that time. And zombies go where the food is.
