Creve Coeur park is very close to the border between St. Louis and St. Charles County and represents one of the best hopping points from the big city to rural Missouri. The meet-up location is defensively advantageous, and should a prolonged stay be required (not advised due to proximity to city) there is amble fresh springs and food sources available.
