taurus raging bull .44Model: Taurus Raging Bull
The Raging Bull, as its name and sheer size attest, is a "hand cannon" that can fire rounds large enough to take down elephants. It has been produced by the Brazilian Taurus company in a large variety of rounds, including rifle rounds, and has an extremely strong frame to handle the high pressures. It's often marketed as a sidearm for hunters due to the large rounds.

One interesting note about the design is that it has a manual front cylinder latch, strengthening and simplifying the design while also forcing two-handed reloads.

Where to find

The Raging Bull is a common revolver in reputable stores, and the price of $500-600 is surprisingly low for such a quality gun.

Complexity

Along with the advantages of a revolver in reliability (no jamming, simple mechanism, etc.), the Raging Bull has an extremely strong frame to allow for the loading of such powerful cartridges. With the .22 and .218 calibers, there's little felt recoil.
