The Gentleman's Survival KitThis is a featured page

Being prepared means always being prepared, whether at work, the movies, or out for drinks. No one wants to avoid daily activities, but you can't always take your survival gear everywhere you go.

Imagine you are out on a date one night. You are leaving the movie theater when you notice a crowd of zombies headed your way. The outbreak is here! But you are ready for this, you have been preparing for it for years!

Too bad you can't even get to your car because that would lead you back through the now zombie-infested mall. You are forced to run, with only your wallet, keys, and cellphone. You are now in the same boat with all the other folks that never saw this coming.

Wouldn't it be nice if you had your survival gear with you? No one wants to avoid daily activities, but you can't always take your survival gear everywhere you go.

There is a third option. The Gentleman's Survival Kit. It includes the most basic items to help keep you alive, no matter where you are, and fits in an unassuming pouch on your belt.

You can easily assemble your own. The total cost of the example below came out to a little under 150 dollars.

  • First get your hands on a designer smart-phone case. Businessmen around the world carry these daily and they can blend in with almost any outfit.
Then add:
  • A small LED flashlight
  • A multi-tool
  • A small knife
  • Lighter
  • Bandage, antiseptic ointment, alcohol pad

When closed up, it looks just like you have a high end cellphone on your belt. Little do others know you are now equipped to save your own rear end.

Plus, imagine the benefits in everyday non-zombie life. You would be prepared for all of life's little emergencies. Drop your wallet in a dark movie theater? No worries. You have a flashlight. Bought something in a tough clamshell package? No worries, you have a knife.

wow good job. I carry around a swiss army card (victorinox) tucked into your wallet; combines with a flashlight/whistle on my keychain. I also have a few kfc wipes, two bandages, a few panadols (cut the pill blister out and put it into the coin purse of your wallet). That is as bare bones as I can live with.
I have a few more items in my gym bag that adds to this.
