The Law of Undead

by: 13th.Casualty

Law of Undead, kinda like the Law of Robotics by Isaac Asimov. Please feel free--in fact, I insist--on improving the contents of this page. I think you guys would get the general idea of what this is.

The First Law

Once infected, there is no reversing it. Your time is limited, use it wisely.

The Second Law

Only damage to the brain will successfully dispatch the undead.

The Third Law

Anyone who is turned/infected is no longer human or alive. Do not feel sympathy.

Discussions/Debates:
Carlosz+: They should have hope as its third law. IN resident evil 2 carlos olivera didn't turn into a zombie. I say that is hope and good luck.

Quickrace89: You aren't killing a person (eg. Your mom). Your mother is already dead, she has been killed by the virus. What is trying to bite you is her re-animated corpse. The 'your mom' part has already been killed, and once you realize that, it should be easy to dispatch zombies.
Irishflyboy254: Jesus Christ! What if its your mother or grandfather or significant other? Yes, its easy if you don't know the person you're re-killing, but what if you know them? Will you pull the trigger so easily yourself? There's a world of difference between killing some poor bastard who was turned and you don't even have a name, but what about your mother? What if she was turned? Could you really re-kill the same woman who cared for you, fed you, and raised you?

13th.Casualty: I said "Do not feel sympathy," not "kill on sight." Yes, even I, who plan on re-killing any and all undead who interferes with my plans, will have trouble killing someone I know who has turned. That's why, even against everything I believe in (at least concerning zacks), I plan on capturing anyone I know and locking them up in metal boxes. But still, sooner or later you will realize that there is no helping them. Sooner or later you will realize that you must eliminate them.

Sporezombie: If you know them adopt this mentality to deal "Their gone you are re-killing a monster not your mom". Besides they wouldn't want to stay a zombie anyway. I mean do you really want that for your loved ones i wouldn't

Kelkesh12345: I know this seems kinda irrelevant, but I had a dream where I saw my whole family undead. The dream was utterly realistic, and I found that I couldnt pull the trigger on them...I ended up shooting myself. I couldn't deal with the stress of seeing my sons covered in blood and running at me with the intent to kill me. And on a lighter note, The Day the Dead Walked was an excellent fan fiction.
EDIT: Wow, Irrelevant. Sorry...I was half asleep when I wrote that.

Gummbearyyz: First of all, Kelkesh it's irrelevant not irrelevant I was gonna change it for you but I wanted you to realize it sorry I know I'm a pain in the ass but for some reason that popped out and kicked me in the nuts (felt that way anyway) second if she's decaying, trying to bite you, and has a large bloody mouth shaped wound in her shoulder you probably ain't gonna spend much time with her anyway unless you're suicidal and then you've got a whole new list of problems so shoot your girlfriend in the face if she turns

Alicestar: my wife said she doesn't wanna be a zed so I think she will dispatch herself, the kids on the other hand are gonna be hard. I think I'll just blow the joint to pieces that way I don't have to see em when it happens. dispatching any kids face to face is hard trust me. war is hell.

13th.Casualty: How 'bout lock 'em up in a bank vault with a sign saying "Please kill and burn the zombies inside"? Sooner or later, someone will come over and kill them for you. Maybe even explain the situation so it's more persuasive.

William_Protector24: It's one of those things where it isn't something you would like to do, it is something you would have to do. Sure, no one would like to blow a loved ones brains to next week, but we couldn't leave them to infect others, perhaps taking a loved one away from another person. In this situation, I stress the use of empathy: you know what it's like to lose a loved one to infection, stop it here and now. Besides that, it would be foolish to allow one you cared for be a cause for further spread of the epidemic. Survival is the key, not love. Referring to Quickrace89's comment on the living part of a person being dead, this is true. A zombie is a reanimated CORPSE, meaning deceased being's body. Mom is gone, don't let her feast on you.

Mr.Xeight: I don't know if you all would care for my opinion, but you have to always take human nature into equation. Yes people might say they could kill their loved/liked ones, but if this or a similar scenario occurs, I doubt half the population could pull the trigger on their mother, girlfriend, or best friend, decaying or not...

Seperator For Pages

13th.Casualty: I agree, Mr.X, but like I said, YOU don't have to kill them. You could leave them somewhere (restrained, of course) for someone else to kill. That's what I mean by "Do not feel sympathy." I didn't necessarily mean "Kill when bitten."

Andy: If you want to survive, and you want the rest of your party to survive, YOU WILL PULL THE TRIGGER. You can not risk hesitation. You are doing them a favor, ending their suffering, not killing a human you once cared for. My only overture to humanity is to tie up XYZ loved one so that they can stay alive until they turn; and to use a maul (a small sledgehammer).

ZEDbattalion: In my opinion (for what it's worth), these are valid thoughts to have, for when the Zday comes from which ever end, we need to be prepared. We can have all the BOB Bags, Plans, Maps and Tactics.....however if the threat comes from within your fortified home, base, group or family. You will have mentally planned that this is something that would have to be done! Pulling the TRIGGER on a loved one or best friend. Personally, I would expect the same, if I were that got bitten. I would think, at some point I knew I would die, re-animate, and go after those whom I love, and who loves me. Our luxury is forethought. "...The Spirit is gone....a deadly raging virus of barbaric blindness fills the shell, and will consume anything in it's path."

13th.Casualty: Ah, what all you people say is true. But just curious, who here would actually use a gun to shoot their heads off instead of conserving ammo and using a trench spike? And who here would burn the remains?

Seperator For Pages

ddawg440:I personally could never stab a friend or family member with a trench spike casualty but I think if I had to I could shoot them but it would probably be in a off to the side place so I would not have to look at it after.

The whole idea of locking your loved ones away is silly and immature, when ZDay comes, it's survival of the fittest, and if your willing to save a few zeds, then your obviously not fit ot survive.

Imagine if the "save your Zfamily" was used by thousands of survivors, and could mean millions of zombies locked away in vaults, all it takes in one crying weakling to open a door, or gate, or vault, and then you was WWZ2 on your hands.

There's no reason to save your loved ones if they have already gone grey, bless your bullets and send them to heaven.
