There is no scientific reason that skin jobs would have "terrrible" eyesight, nor any other sense; Equally, ther is no scietific reason that their senses would be negatiely effected by infection. We should assume (yes, I know that's a dirty word, but ti's gotta be said) that their senses, at least for the first few years, would be exactly the same as their pre-infectuos state, deterioroating at the same rate as it would have without infection.

Fast and slow zombies are the exact same thing, just in different stages of infection and decompostion. The "Fast" zombie is the freshly infected which has no legs injuries or trauma. The 'Slow' zombie is in the final stages of infection and decompostion, meaning that the things required for moving fast (sight, Ligaments, muscle, etc) have either been blown off or rotted away.
