Getting ready: Plan follows
Being an IT geek I'll make a spreadsheet so I can make sure I have sufficient supplies and they remain rotated and ready.

The following link is to a Google Document's Spreadsheet (basically Excel online by Google). I have set it up so that anyone can access it but not edit it. To use it go to the first tab (Details) and add numbers into the green box's. Result? a rough Idea what your supplies will need to be.

I will be making some updates to the lists in the other tab found in the same spreadsheet (Water, Food, Tools, etc)

The idea is that you save a copy to your computer (Select [File] then [Download as] and choose the appropriate type) and enter your details for your own records.

I would also love input from members as to what else should be added or removed. Also, any issues viewing/ using, etc please let me know and I'll fix it.

Good hunting, stay safe and be prepared.

My situation:
Location:
Melbourne, Australia, suburban surroundings (no guns)

Family Members:
13 total - 8 Adults & 5 Kids
... assuming the furthest can make it to me, otherwise possible 10 total.

==============
Part 1: Bugging In

I've started working on my "Bugging In" plan and thought I'd share my thoughts and my planning tool (see top) with the community.

>> Coming Soon <<

Plan:
Be Prepared, wait out 2 weeks, see what happens, then scouting and possible Bug Out from home base.

Currently looking into/ at:
  • My "Bugging In" Plan
  • My "Bugging In" Supplies
  • Tools of the trade
  • Melee weapons
  • Cooking methods
  • Archery lessons
  • "Get Home Bags"
  • Maps and routes for GHB
  • "Bug Out Bags"
  • Survival Techniques
  • Trapping, killing and preparing game

==============
Part 2: Bugging Out
My whole plan is pretty much based on Bugging In but I've also been looking at BOL options. I only have a few;
  • Farther in-law's place is up the road from me (about 600 meters) but would be harder to defend.
  • Local kinder my kids attend is about 1 km away (5 min drive), has high fence, small high windows and strong external doors, but is obviously not owned by me.
  • My parents place is further (about 10 km) and has roller shutters and would be better defend-able but it's only a small property. (but my Dad does have lots of tools)
  • Original plan was for the closest Police station or Primary school, but then I read articles like "the panic" and "wall-mart death" and quickly realized that that would be a bad idea.

[This is the section where you detail how you will escape to your Bug Out Location. What vehicles you use, the routes you take, etc]

==============
Part 3: Digging In

>> Coming Soon <<

[Here you detail your BOL. If it is an existing building, any modifications. If it is something you intend to build, then show us the designs, the reasons for each addition, etc]

==============
Part 4: Living

>> Coming Soon <<

[So you have escaped the plague, you are in your BOL, and now you have to do the hardest task of all: cope with your new daily life. What is that like? How long will you be doing that?]
