| The standard French gas mask bag can be bought (along with the mask itself, a filter, and some lenses) for around $20 USD at the local M&I Surplus. It has two external pockets that can fit a water bottle each. The internal pouch has a cloth divider that makes three extra pouches. The first two can fit a small bottle of butane lighter fluid each. The other one can hold a beer bottle (maybe). The one downside is that it is too small for a regular BOB, but it is light enough to be carried along with a different BOB. | |

Huuuu-wah! I got it today! The Four Wheel Jive, 36 liter day pack made by Eastern Mountain sports. Its a terrific pack, in my mind about perfect, for a BOB. Be sure to check the links in my profile to view contents as I fill it up with good stuff.
I chose the red color for "check point camouflage" and forest visibility. I do want visibility in the wild since I intend to use this bag for hikes and one night out camping. I would hate to be out during a hunting season and get pegged because I did not look entirely human. Likewise, I dont want to appear militant at any check point as I GOOD. Yep, the Bugout Bag is biggest and you can get more stuff in it. So out of the two the 55ltr Bugout Bag makes the best (BOB) I just like the 3 day elite! mainly because of the pocket for the laptop, not really needed in a BOB, but general use its handy...

In my B.O.B I have my M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, colt 1911 .45, .357 magnum, .500 magnum, scopes for the rifles, 200,000 rounds of ammo for each gun, my great great great grampa`s sabor, my ninjato, wet stone, bowie knife, food, water, maps, matches, fire starter kit, zip ties, tape, pipe, fuses, gun powder, nails, tools, steel wool, rope, grappleing hook, tarp. that`s what I got so far
