I have now managed to procure all the items I need for survival. The CCTV,Razor wire and Motion sensors are set-up,but are not being factored into my post Z-day survival plan as I will be bugging out.I realized my last plan was too hi-tech and although in it's phases, was unworkable for the large part.
The main reason I am deciding to bug out is because I now have access to a remote log cabin in a mountainous area of NZ.There are multiple routes there and it's relatively well concealed. It also has good views and some excellent observation points(it belongs to an environmentalist relative of mine and is sparsely used for university and conservation work sporadically throughout the year). I always keep tabs on international and domestic news, either through the paper, phone or internet. As soon as I get confirmation of a Zombie outbreak or similar scale disaster. As soon as this happens,my SHTF plan will go into place: 1.) Get home as quick as possible if not already there.I don't carry firearms on my person all the time. But I will always have access to a vehicle or other means of transportation. If I am too far from home then I will make my way to the Bug out location immediately(More than 30mins driving distance away,or if it's impossible to get home). 2.) Once I am home,I will immediately secure my BOB and Kit.This will take some time but I am counting on wit, awareness and the home security system to buy me time. This has been scaled down to include:

Hello there, I am Dracule Zaim. I am 16 years old and i am Malaysians. I am also newbie in this contagious outbreak. So here is my survival plan. Don't forget to correct through reply if i am wrong or making serious problem that can get myself killed.
1. Get home immediately if not already. I don't carry firearms because I'm Malaysians. before outbreak Malaysians is illegal to carry any type of firearms all of them are civilians unless have gun license. Perhaps this outbreak also the opportunity to carry firearms. 2 Once I am in home, my parent should be at home. If not, probably there is traffic jams or something similar to them. if I am bit suspicious about my parent taking too long time to get back home. I must fortify my home with everything available and also fill the water in sink and bucket before utility get blackout, and rely on my brother (underage compare to my age). if they not help, convince them. If they are too lazy to help. probably they deserve to be a zombie meals anyway (in my heart) 3. If getting surrounded , I should lock the gate in front of my house since it will slow down the maggots . i brought my parent (if they were there ) and my brothers to get out and pray to God that my brothers are fast enough, or not. i help them. if they get bitten, sorry brothers, there is no restart button here in real life outbreak. 4. head to every potential bases of operation for fortification, farming, gardening, scavenging etc. since ranged weapons are critical for zombie killing machines. perhaps go to local authorities even head to the military camps, barracks , armory depot, and others. Grab every weapons they have and head back to base of operations. 5. be self sustainable guy with other survivors .

first signs of outbreak---
Go to my primary BOL. abandoned farmhouse with a 5ft perimiter wall. and has metal shutters on windows. take my BOB with aswell. i will fortify this location as there are wooden planks and corregated iron lying around and various tools. im too late and panic is already outside my door-- i live close to the nothe fort.(BOL2)it its a large fort turned into a museum so there is no military prescence there. it has a large gate and portcullis, nuclear bunker and 20m high perimiter walls.(but i dont think it is feasible to get in easily without a ladder as the gate is usually locked.) everyone knows of the outbreak/SHTF event. --- there is a cadet training centre (SCTC Weymouth) 120ish metres from my home. it has a firing range with .22 Rifles and SA80s.(5.56x45mm NATO) i know it well and it already has bars on the windows and sturdy fences and walls.it also has a military stores with 3 pallets of 24hr MOD Ration Packs. and multiple jerrycans, bergens, daypacks, webbing and anything you would expect in a british army stores. this is my preffered BOL. there is also an evac point nearby(on ZSDW evac points-weymouth and jurassic coast). please give constructive criticism and advice thanks:) STAY SAFE

Firearms: Marlin Model 36 C and an old .22 semi-auto rifle
Clothing: A few pairs of pants and pajama pants, shirts of varying sizes, several jackets, a ski mask, and a few pairs of shoes. Also, socks n undies. Ya know. The essentials. Melee Weapons: Machete, walking stick, hatchet, splitting maul, and several aluminum bats Shelter: At first, I'll be staying on a rock outcropping overlooking the valley. Then, I'll head up towards the lean-to my friends and I built, and I'll work on a shack once up there. Food and Water: We've got M.R.E.s, and we'll be taking as many non-perishables up as we can. There is a stream hat provides a steady supply of water most of the year, and a little further up the mountain, the snow doesn't melt. Tools: Duct tape, first aid kits, gun cleaning kits, sharpener, files, various carpentry tools. Navigation: I know the area pretty well. Hunting: Deer, and small game. Communication: I'll have some buddies and family with me, and we'll keep a radio at the outcropping at the mouth of the canyon. I watch the news, and when there are confirmed reports of widespread cannibalism, my friends and I will take our stockpiled supplies to the mouth of a local canyon and hide it, taking some of the supplies across the stream and up the wall of the canyon to a rock outcropping, which is difficult and dangerous for a human to get to, much less a stench. If things get worse, for example, there's a total media blackout, we'll dig up our supplies and take them up the canyon to our spot, where three of us will stay and start working on a shack/cabin. The others will go rob the hardware store (it's wrong, I know) and take all the ammo up to the shack. After that, I'll head into town and start talking to people to see if they would be willing to move up into the canyon or the one next to it.

hi guys. im a new member (woooh) and im sorry if this is already answered somewhere on the site.
When, after the panic in the streets stage of z-apocalypse do we start reproduction as a a form of increasing human numbers. I understand this could be an issue, as every pregnant woman is one less fighter for the human resistance, but if we dont reproduce, the human race will die out anyway. So when DO we start shagging again?

Firearms: SKS, a pair of TT-33s, a PPSh, and many, many boxes of ammo.
Clothing: Snowboarding jacket and pants, ski goggles, respirator (like a half-gas-mask), ushanka Melee Weapons: Reinforced machete on a thick steel pole, brass knuckles (for those pesky raiders) Shelter: Hang from a tree, or bury myself in the ground (they'll never find me here!) Food and Water: Foraging and iodine tablets once the canned stuff runs out. Tools: duct tape, first aid kit, duct tape, gun repair and cleaning kit, duct tape Navigation: Map+Boy Scout orienteering skills Hunting: See above. Communication: LOUD RANTING But once you get over all the gear, my plan's really quite simple. Go north and west, possibly into Canada or northern Washington (which'll involve a cross-country trek for me), stopping at cities along the way for teammates and the occasional resupply. Once I'm there, I'll start up a survivor settlement in a rural area, based around a small village. Maybe even a farm, some cows and chickens. Hell, I'm not looking forward to getting there. Maybe I'll pull a Forrest Gump and start heading northeast towards Newfoundland. Also, thanks to GunSchachtner for the template I built this off of.

That's right, I go to my Grandparent's house. It's actually a good idea. They live on a hill with a decent view all around. They have a farm where they grow their own crops and raise cattle and sheep. We could even breed cats and dogs for food if the need arises. With some destruction, there will only be one ground level entrance to the house, which is in the basement. My uncle lives there too, and has a collection of guns and ammo. I will add my own guns and ammo to the collection as well, which will add up to about 25-30 all together, give a couple extra. I will have to take up archery since we will have three or four bows as well. Water and defense would be the next concern, since I have no idea how long the well will last. there are several useless vehicles around their property, along with building materials to build a barricade around the house (The animal pens too, if we have the time and materials). Water we would have to forage for, and we will purify it the old-fashioned way: boiling it. Rain water will have to be collected, and in the winter we can melt snow. Most of our foraging will have to be done in the winter, when the zeds have hopefully frozen.

First off a little advice to people (Almost everyone should know this except newbies): NO SURVIVAL PLAN SHOULD BE SET IN CONCRETE! Number one because its heavy (wink wink). And number two because there is over one billion things that CAN and WILL go wrong.
-The text that follows is a very basic survival plan that is easily adaptable: Once a definate problem or threat has been confirmed, prepare home or nearby shelter. If people begin leaving their homes and the city, set up my three weeks of provisions and bug out bag. After three weeks reacess situation If threat is still there, bug out to safe location. Mine is an abandoned bunker in a wild life preserver Stay there with radio, and get a feel for the scale of the situation Begin scavenging the nearby (5 miles away) places for supplies, while maintaining a secure perimeter Hold down for about a month, before reavaluating or begining to search for survivors Any constructive criticism would be helpful to strengthening my plan.
