When picking out a hideout never ever pick a mall i know they have a wide inventory of items and sometimes a knife/sword store but there are to many entrances and dont have enough supplies to stay a long time. I would prefer first taking a truck as big as you can get i prefer a ford of the superduty series and then head straight to a home depot, lowes or any other store that holds tools, lumber, and dry wall for barricades, barriers, walls, (power tools make the job easier and can kill zombies quickly), training targets. then drop off all of these supplies at the hideout and make sure u have several men to start building right away and have some guard the group while the place is under construction. if limited men women can do sentry duty i meen they can me in the military and shooting a gun isnt to hard. then head to a costco to pick up frozen foods, canned foods, etc because costco carries everything in bulk sizes u wont need very many packages for a while so keep this as a resource place. after dropping these off go for a shooting range, outdoor goods store, police store, and if u r lucky a near by military base. these places will hold plenty of weapons, knives, armor, and camp out stuff. the only time i reccomend u go to a mall is for stuff like clothes cuz u always need a change of clothes and also u need to have some light clothes for running incase ur base gets overwhelmed. comment good reviews and i will put the rest of the plan if u dont like it to bad cuz i thimk its a smart plan

it seams common misconception is weight of different weapons.
for some reason blunt weapons have gotten a stigma for begin insanely heavy when compared to counter parts in ranged and blades. example katana at ~ 3lb and double bit ax 3.5lb sledge 6 lb 3 lb is the difference between a weapon viewed as light agile and one that will put you of balance and take forever to recover. also inserting to note an sks is 8.5 lb i have a few reason this misconception might have occurred. 1 people mistake wood chopping and splinting for actually battle strikes 2 most of the times people see a katan used it by some on you has had a lot of training. 3 (which i hope is true) the wiki has become full of weak couch potatoes.

1. Hide out the chaos period
Get your stuff (canned goods, enough water for each person (4L per day) a medical kit, a 2 way radio with lots of batteries and any good reliable weapons i have in and around my house) then hide in the highest possible place in your house ! mine is the attic so i just block the door. If you're in a 2 story just block the staircase with lots of furniture so the Zed can't get up. 2. Get out of town Get as far away from civilization as possible. Find a camping spot near running water or a lake, bring a proper water purifier, if not just use old fashion methods. Small game is always there big game you may have to travel for. Try to pick a place you have already been to so you know the local wildlife (the poisonous animals and plants) If you're stuck in town, use your 2 way radio to find any survivors hauled up some where safe (remember safety in numbers) and wait till an opening to get away comes. 3. The survival So you're far away from any town, what now? You need to start stock piling stuff ! Go to any nearby homes / farmhouses and check for survivors and ask them to join your band, take everything you can from empty houses and only use force if you have to. If possible, grow plants, your stay here is only temporary so quickly growing plants only 4. You're Sprung Zed or Humans have found your camp, you should have already gotten a quick get away ready in case of this. Your most important goal is holding your ground, leave no survivors and burn all the dead. If this is impossible then get out 5. Moving out The first month is over either the humans won or your now in a zombie world. (if the Zed won) This is about the time to find a permanent place to stay. Staying out of major towns is important (10K population +) find the best place to stay , Big strong doors, high windows, lots of Zed proof escape roots. (if humans won) go back to your now destroyed normal life.

I'm 16 and live in an urban area in Vietnam. Sure thing no one wants z-day to really happen but you can never be too careful.
So my family owns a 4 storied townhouse in the city and it it very well-built. Since we're living in a big city, security is the first priority. The house has 1 gate and two layers of doors, all windows have bars (that sounds crazy but the bars keep us from being burglared, all houses have that), so I don't think that the zombies would try to break in unless we do something that attracts them. If we are fully stocked, we probably can survive for a long time. In case of emergency, we can maybe jump the roof? The problem is water, which is very important. We don't have bathtubs (showers only), how can we store water and keep them clean? And the place is too small for big barrels. And also, no weapons. Guns are illegal in here, of course. Just started thinking about the plan so it is still simple and definitely has flaws. I would really appreciate advice from you! :)

As soon as the outbreak begins I immediately call my freind( who I have previously planned tho out with) and tell him and his family to come to my house and bring all of their food, water, weapons, ammo, fuel, vehicles, medications and anything else that could fit in his pickup truck. Once he arrives we layout all the weapons and ammo to get a count of how much we have. We have 2. .22 rifles a Remington 12gauge shotgun and a colt m1911. I know for a fact that now combined we have about 300 rounds. We also have both started preparing of several months now so we will have enough food and water to survive the initial panic. Then we would board up all the windows and doors and wait out the intial panic and most survivors are dead so u do not get shot. Once the initial panic is over we load up the vehicles withe the remaining supplies and pack them into the vehicles and loot a nearby gas station/conveniance store for gas food and water and one done there continue on the highway until in about 3 hours I reach niagara falls, NY and go to the Canadian border to see of the border patrolen are still alive if they are ask to live with them and if they refuse go and live in fort niagara and eventually go back on a nearby building an of there are 5 or less agents and kill them and t
Raid their armory for m4carbines and p2000 pistols and their shotguns and also take any more body armor and vehicles and take everything back to the fort and live their long term by planting seeds to grow food and get fresh water from lake Ontario constructive criticism is appreciated oh and please do not be a grammar nazi because I wrote this on my ipod thanks cold mtn dew

Well first I would go in my basement get 2 days worth of food. Then I would get a crossbow a rifle and a pistol. I would then secure a vehicle preferably a jeep. Go to a walmart or px and get guns for my family. Then what nobody thinks about is go to the airport and go to the Uk because zombies can,t swim or fly so they stay in one continent, island,or country.

My plan would be to secure my parents (which live 45 minutes from me) and wait the main out break. After the main out break i would secure a vehicle, (either a truck or SUV) then make my way to a weapons store. If luck holds out then secure rifles, shot guns, pistols, crossbows. Melee weapons are a little different, Bats are the easiest thing to come by so i would go for that. (where i live dicks sporting goods is a sports store so many things would come into play there. Rifles, shot guns, knives, BATS, and well everthing besides food). Theres a Shaws close by to Dicks so food is my next step. Now when it comes to an Zombie out break food is the thing that is going to be a hard thing to come by. Scavenge what ever you can. Walmart, Shaws, small grocery stores will most likly be bare or have almost nothing in them. So I would go to Restaurants and get food from there. (Something people havn't thought about from what i can tell). Entertainment is the easiest thing that can be found so with me Games. Video games mostly. But Board games are good with me. All the secondary thing live how to do this and that can be found at books stores but my book stores are located near or in malls so thats a hell no. Thats my plan so yea leave a posting suggesting how to impove it. I know i have something in there that can be fixed.

The best way to survive, is to get as far from urban areas as you can. Zombies are drawn to them at an allarming rate, and if you are able to get out before the sombies corner you, your in good shape. For travel, keep a smaller group of people you can trust, i like a group of 10-20. for weapons, take atleast 1 range weapon each, and a melee. For transportation, boats and trucks are your best shot for the average person. For supplies, take enough provisions to last you to your location. Medical, take as much as you can, but bring extra rubbing alchohol. Rubbing alchohol can actually stop the Zombie virus if you catch the bite early enough. For an ideal location, deep in the forest, or an island. a place where you know the animals, and the plants. high ground is a must. be sure to have a good perimiter, and hope that not to many zombies find you. hunker down, or keep moving from location to location every couple of weeks, and you should be good to go for a long time. Best of luck to all of you.

i live rural out in the woods a growing collection of knives swords tomahawks and soon crossbows have training in multiple martial arts and weapons training in apache comanchee knife fighting tactics but no firearms though through years of experience know how to use them will retreat deeper into the woods or into down town atop the roof of a local restaurant for apex viewing of my surroundings and easy trapping and or incendiary defense molotovs and flaming arrows i am planning to build a fallout shelter but that will take time so until then i will be best prepared as i said i live in a very small town but there are larger cities around so i might hit the highway and see what i can find but will try to avoid firearms as they are loud and can run out of ammo quick though sniping has its pros close quarters combat with a gun seems futile and i would prefer to stay as stealth as possible only problem is i have no group to move with other than my wife who can even eat deer meat let alone kill hordes of the undead food supply will be sparse but living atop an eatery will have its benefits and i plan to go knife hunting for boar and deer to sharpen my skills until the time comes that they are much needed..........filler for any holes in my survival plan would be most welcome

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been on this site posting different things about this and that.
What's changed between this plan and my previous one? Well, what hasn't. First and foremost, Out of everyone that I know, I've had the most experience with the high stress, and fatigue, as well as the leadership qualities that would more than likely prove to the people with me, that I'm capable to lead. The main thing that I've thought about these past years, is that the main place to be, is where you aren't. What I'm saying is, the less crowded an area before Z day, the less likely it is to be packed with the Zeds. Common sense. And unless everyone has gone completely insane, that's a pretty good outlook. Now, I don't know what we would deal with, whether they were Zombies from Dawn of the Dead, or an outbreak like 28 days/weeks later. Or the slow, slouched zombies of Night of the living dead. Knowing the items and things I have, I would be more than capable of making it a ways without stopping. The place that would most interest me are the secluded, wide open places, like maybe a farmstead or some where in a heavily wooded area. I'm more open to ideas about this, and I would appreciate any input that someone can put into this. You know what they say: "It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when."
