problem 1- dirtbikes can be outfitted with saddlebags just like any other motorcycle so you are not limited to just what you can fit in your pockets. Problem 2- not all "cruiser" type motorcycles are choppers. this needs to be diferentiated between. Problem 3-what the hell makes the Expedition so awesome that it deserves its own category outside of other SUV's Problem 4-problem 3 also applies to H2's Problem 5-Dual sport/enduro motorcycles are quite different than the Adventure Motorcycle that is shown in the pic. I believe adventure bikes are more what is intended by this category and they are far from capable of going anywhere as they are rediculously top heavy and do not have adequite suspension to traverse difficult terrain. Problem 6-under attainability, some say civilian and some say easy/medium/hard. There needs to be one measuring standard across the board on this. Problem 7-Moster Trucks are incredibly high maintanance as they have very high horsepower engines and other high performance parts. Problem 8-how did this even get posted without having regular cars on it. That blows my mind

I take issue with some of your information, and find that u are grossly missimformed: For example: 1.) In my 10 years of millitary service i was an Airborne RANGER, GREEN BERRET, as well as a member of several other High speed, Low Drag units and altho i can move 26 miles a day wareing 90 lbs of gear, the average joe cannot...and recomending that an untrained individual attempt to do so is in my opnion...reckless...ur gona get people killed. 2.) RV's arnt as tough as you give them credit for...barring a 2million dollar "Provost" tour bus (Which are built like a Greyhound bus with semi truck motors/trannies/and axels), your average every day winnibaggo's cona get ya killed. When the fit hits the shan, commendeere a Grayhound, Semi tractor (sans trailer), or if your lucky; if a concert is in town at the time...steel the bands tour bus. They can haul as much tonage as a semi and are designed to opperate @ highway speeds nonstop for hours at a time for a million miles or more during the course of thier service lives. And most importantly, thy actually average 8-14.5 miles per gallon doing so, and typically have 350-500 gallon fule tanks.

I'd like to point out about this article, That quads and dirtbikes generally get poor mileage because they're made for high performance, high-revving, low geared. In stock form, you aren't going to get over 20 miles/gallon from them...
I would also like to point out, that my GSXR600 averages about 55 miles per gallon, and I've got as high as 67 in perfect conditions on freeway trips. My CBR1000 (RIP) got an average of 50, and I never really took it on any long trips to see what the best that I could get was. Now my Yamaha Warrior 350 quad, gets a rough 15. Top speed is 85~ mph, because of tall tires and factory gearing. You can squeeze more out of them by gearing them higher, but then you lose the low-end oomph. My CR85 Expert big-wheel model, factory gearing, factory jetting got about 30 at highway speeds. Being a 2 stroke it was a low maintenance ride. A bigger dirtbike, 250 2-stroke or a 450 4-stroke only gets about 15-18 miles per gallon. People that say "Oh I can ride trails all day on a tank of gas" don't realize it takes a lot longer to go XX amount of miles on the trails, than it does on the highway. Todays portion of "And now you know..." brought to you by, mr_nice_guy228. ;)

I'm not talking about a pick up with a plow on the front i mean a huge steel dump truck with plow on front. Anyone who lives in an area with heavy snow fall knows what i'm talking about. They are tall, heavily armored, huge carrying capacity ( as long as there is no rock salt in the back you could carry anything you need), set up right you could carry both things and people in the back, and it can mow through hordes of undead. Granted it's loud but if you have that big of a hulk you don't have to worry about attracting zombies. Also most run on disel which would probably be the only thing left when you got to the gas station.

What do you people think of a bike that you can hop on, start riding in one of the 7 gears, then pull back on the throttle and you are boosted up to 20 MPH for up to 25 miles of pure electric riding. The batteries are about as big as a loaf of bread (shorter though), but you could easily carry one on the rack on the back wheel along with saddle bags. Two batteries means a 50 miles range on a total of $ .20 electricity. You could use a solar panel to recharge to bikes.
I'm buying one tomorrow morning for $1649 (Ultra Motors Europa) and the combination of extremely high efficiency and good short-medium distance travel kept saying zombie scenario to me. My main motivation is food runs into town which is 2 miles away, why not a food run into town pulling a bike trailer?

what is considered low, medium, and high? I don't think that the hummer deserves a medium rating if it's being compared to regular cars and trucks that most people have access to. That's just and example and I'm not trying to rip on the hummer.

articles on how to live in your vehicle, types of vehicles, budget, modifications, etc. One article is on living in a Ford Festiva, so a bigger car like a VW Rabbit should be easy? And speaking of budgets, I know some of you are on tight budgets, he shows two budgets, one for $500 a month and the other for $1000, food, gas, insurance, cell phone, etc.

If you have more than lets say 5-10 people in your group then this should be your main priority if you choose to remain mobile as you can have a number of vehicles to rely on and not restricted to just one type.

Military vehicles should be in their own category. Only in the movies can one person drive and shoot. In reality they are crew served.
They also require training to operate. Yes, I am sure you could figure out how to drive one, but to use the weapon systems... best not to just start pushing buttons. In the 5 minutes it would take you to figure out how to raise the ramp on a IFV, you are DOA (ish). Also, some of the older stuff like M113's (APC) used special gas - good luck. That being said, something like a Bradley IFV or a Stryker would be high on my list of goodies to get, even if it just ended up being a defensive position with just enough gas to keep the weapon systems active.

Trains, trains are hybrid vehicles, they use a diesel engine to turn a generator/alternator which provides power to the traction motors that drive the train.
Road trains, or triples are semi-tractors pulling multiple trailer. Much harder to handle than the single trailer rigs, but much more fuel efficient per pound moved.
