Chapter 1: Dream
Faithful are the children who walk among the herd.

Innocence in their hearts, Purity in their souls.

Trevor was not like the other kids, being a decade old was a challenge in
itself. Not a kid anymore but not yet a teenager, new feelings, new urges and
new body functions. Changes.

One special thing about Trevor was that no matter how much things changed around
him, whether it was a new family or a new house, new friends or new love
interests. The voices were always with him.

First he thought the voices were invisible fairies who laughed and played with
him to keep him company and he was happy to never be lonely, he played for
endless hours playing fairy catcher or pirates or hunters around the
neighborhood, then, he thought the voices were ghosts who needed his help and he
tried to do his best to either "retrieve" a stolen treasure or avenge the death
of a friend by doing pranks or trying to land people in jail, where they
belonged. He didn't mind lying as long as justice was served and the ghosts in
return would keep him company and happy.

That was then.. now.. he knows the voices are madness. Trevor no longer lives in
a house or has other children as friends. He lives alone with the screaming
voices in his mind inside what the adults call; Saint Peter's. He does not
remember much about how he got there only that it happened after his last favor
to a ghost named Vincent, it was funny how Vincent was the quietest of them all
and it turned out he was the most troublesome.

Trevor now lays quietly in his clean white bed, under his clean white sheets in
his clean white fluffy room with his big and beautiful barred window. Moonlight
seeps through the bars and into the wall, he smiles as the voices try to guess
what the shadows look like. Trevor might be crazy but at least he is not alone.

Chapter 2: Scream

Trevor woke up to the sound of a horrifying scream.

The first question that came to his mind was if the scream came from outside his
door or from inside his mind. The voices screamed from time to time but this one
sounded a little muffled, then he heard frantic movement, some ran past the
little window on the door leading outside of his cell.

- "Go back to sleep, Trevor."
- "Ohh, maybe they are playing a neat game, Trevor, why don't you take a
peek through the window and ask if you can play?"
- "Hide Trevor!! Hide quick!!!!"

The last voice was from Jeane, Trevor always liked her, she sang to him whenever
he was scared and he knew Jeane had his best intentions on her mind. That is, if
Jeane wasn't in his mind.

Trevor knew he was crazy, after all, his last parents told him he was crazy, his
doctors told him he was crazy, even the voices in his head told him he was
crazy. But Jeane was the voice of wisdom and Trevor learned who to listen to and
who to ignore.

He quickly got up from his bed, he folded the sheets and tided up his bed like
he always does when he gets up and hid below the bed.

He heard several footsteps pass through his room outside his door, running from
one side to another, yelling others to run, more screams came from outside and a
wicked laughter could be heard far away. Gunshots came next, more screams, more
running, someone kicked a door open and laughed.

- "Be very quiet Trevor, no matter what happens, don't move." Jeane whispered.
- "Scream boy!! Join the madness!! You'd love the freedom!
Scream and be freeee!!" Steve screamed.

Another door was kicked open, a gunshot was heard, more laughter, whoever it
was, it was getting closer.

"The moment he kicks our door in, tackle him!! Kill him!!!" - Steve said.

Trevor heard him approach his door, he was still giggling, keys rattled, his
door's lock unlocked then the door flew inwards as the orderly kicked it in and
shot the bed with the smoking gun. The bullet missing Trevor by inches.
Trevor muffled a whimper.

"Steady, love.. steady..." - Jeane said.

- "What the ****?! ............ Trevor?" The orderly asked, clearly confused.

Another screamed was heard nearby, the orderly turned his head and pointed his
gun looking towards the noise.

"NOW!!" - Steve screamed in his head.

Trevor got up quickly, getting out from the bed, the orderly turned back to the
room and the gun went off. Trevor could feel the burn on his back as the bullet
singed his flesh, he grabbed the orderly's arm and bit it, bit it down hard. The orderly
screamed and punched Trevor with his other free hand on the side of his head.

- "Pain!! Paaaainn!!! Wahahaha!!!" - Adam cackled in joy.

The other voices were arguing.
- "Punch him in the balls!!"
- "No!! Poke his eyes out!!"
- "You ********!! He's too tall!!"

Trevor elbowed the orderly in the stomach and he fell to his knees, dropping
his gun.

-"Trevor!! Get the gun! Kill him!!"
-"He's weakened!! Squeeze his eyeballs out!!!"
-"Bite his nose!!"
-"Wahaha, paaain!!! paaain!!"
-"Trevor, Run!!"

He did. He ran away. Behind him, the orderly screamed in rage. "Treeevooooorr!!!
You little prick! I'll kill you!!!"

He quickly turned to his left on the next hallway and ran straight into a man
wearing a white coat, a doctor. The doctor hugged Trevor and fell on his back
with Trevor on him. Trevor panicked and started swinging his arms and legs
wildly trying to escape the doctor's embrace. He heard someone quickly running
towards them, the orderly was giving chase.

- "Run Trevor! Run!"
- "He's the enemy!! Hit him!!"
- "Hahaha, We are dead!! At last we are going to die!! Sweet release Trevor!! We die tonight!"

The doctor growled and squeezed harder, Trevor screamed in pain as the doctor's
arms made his back bleed even more from the gunshot wound. Trevor hit the lower
part of the doctor's jaw with the top of his head as he tried to struggle free,
that made the doctor's grapple on him loose just enough for Trevor to squeeze
out of it as he backed away. He stood up, trying to ignore the pain and all the
voices trying to outscream each other in his head. The doctor stood up as well.

Trevor finally took a good look at good doctor Franz. Dr. Franz was one of the
doctor's Trevor really liked, he usually gave him candy after their talking
session but now Dr. Franz was a demon, he could see it in his milky white eyes
and bloody face. He had a gaping hole in the left side of his skull and gray
stuff was flowing out of it.

- "Ooh.. look at that Trevor, Daddy's come back for you!"
- "Be still Trevor.. dont move..."
- "Wahh.. I hurt!! This hurts!!! I want my Mommy!!!"

Trevor turned back to run the way he came but he found that the orderly was
blocking his way.

- "I got you!! You are going to suffer you little demon child!!", the orderly
growled.

- "Duck Trevor!!!" - Jeane said.

He did. He ducked quickly and Dr. Franz stumbled above him, falling in-front of
of the orderly. The orderly jumped a step back and screamed.

" Ahh!! ******' Zombies!!!"

He shot into the doctor's corpse, Trevor peeked and ran the other way leaving the
orderly screaming in rage and in pain behind.

- "****** zombie bit me!! Arrrgh!!! Why! Dont! You! Stay! Dead! Mother!
******!", Each word followed by a gunshot.

Trevor arrived at the recreation room where he played tabletop games with the
other crazies in the building while on recess. He saw a dead orderly sprawled on
the floor and two patients were feasting on him. He scanned the room trying to
find the way out or a place to hide.

He heard someone limping behind him, their footstep echoing through the halls,
cursing under their breath. The orderly was coming to get him. The voices were
unusually quiet now, did they get tired?

Trevor screamed.
- 'Ahhhhhhh!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!'

The three zombies stopped their evening lunch and turned to see the source of
the racket, they slowly got up and started shuffling towards him. Trevor ran
towards the other side of the room trying to put the zombies between him and the
hallway the orderly was coming from.

A gunshot was heard and one of the zombies fell face down to the floor, the
orderly could be heard laughing out loud.

-"Hah! To the head!! Of course! You gotta shoot them in the head! hahahaha!"

Another shot rang, pieces of flesh jumped from the zombie's neck as the next
bullet flew clean through it and lodged itself on a wall. The zombies turned
around towards the source of these new noises and moaned, slowly shuffling towards
the orderly.

Trevor was feeling weak, his eyes got blurry, he felt his back wet and his head
hurt a lot.

- "Hang in there baby, just a little more, dont fall asleep" - Jeane said.
- "Feel the exquisite pain, dear Trevor! Don't you love it? Doesn't it remind you
of home?" - Adam whispered.

Trevor walked towards the dead orderly's corpse as the zombies launched an
attack on the limping orderly, in his blurry vision he saw something shine
besides the bloody corpse, a set of keys.

He grabbed them and stumbled down the hallway, he went into a room marked pill
storage and closed the door. With the last of his strength, he found the correct
labeled key and locked the door.

- "Good night sweet Prince, sleep tight."
- "I'll see you on the other side boy.. Hell is always warm this time of the year, hahaha!"

and with that, Trevor faded away.

Chapter 3: Song

"Wake up sunshine
Open up your sleepy eyes for me
Can't have you hidin'
I've been waiting all the night
People waiting for the light
Sunshine, sunshine"

Trevor could hear Jeane's song, she always sang it when he needed to wake up.
He hurt, badly, but her song washed over the pain and the fear that he was
beginning to remember.

"Wake up sunshine
Ooh it's good to have you here with me
Can't have you hidin'
Can't imagine what I'd do
But feel too lonely without you
Sunshine, sunshine
you got to wake up little prince
and face the day ahead of you."

Trevor saw himself inside a room full of medicine cabinets, there was blood on the floor,
his shirt felt all sticky and it hurt whenever he tried to move it. He had a headache too.
He probed the side of his head with his hand and could feel a bump on it.
The past events were coming back, the orderly, the flesh-eating demons.. the screams.

- "Thank you Jeane, I love you", Trevor said with a smile.
- "I love you too, sweety", Jeane replied.

Trevor looked around and saw the keyring nearby, he tried to get up but his legs wouldnt
support him, he was too weak, he crawled to them and grabbed them.

- "Time to get out of here, little boy! Get up! There's a killin' awaitin'!" - Steve said.
- "No!! It hurts!! Jeane!! Please sing more to us, pleeeeaaassee??" - Ricky pleaded.
- "Trevor, stand up. See that cabinet over there? Get some pills for the pain, use the key!" - Vincent said.

Trevor thought about it, some pills would be good. The doctors always said pills
were good for him, so maybe Vincent was right this time. But Trevor knew Vincent
was a tricky one, he always took what he said with a spoonful of doubt.

- "Haha, pills to take away the pain?! Are you lot crazy?!
Oh yeah.. you are! hahahaha!" - Adam cackled.

- "Shut up! We need to move or we'll die here!"

- "Death! Pain! We must inflict! Yes! Lets get out of here and kill something,
maybe we can all die together! yeeess!!"

Trevor finally found the key labeled cabinet#1, he dragged himself besides the cabinet
closest to the door and grabbed the small shelf that was built into it, pulling himself up.
The keyhole was too far away, he would need something to stand on.. he looked around the room.

- "****! I hate being so little! Why did we get stuck inside this kid?!"
- "You're saying it wrong, it was the kid who got stuck with us, hahahaha~!"
- "Trevor, think about this, let's just go, dont you like the pain? its so safe!
You dont feel sad or worried, you can just feel the pain, it takes the other feelings away..
dont take away the pain, please Trevor!"

Trevor sighed and shook his head, they were useless, like always. The pain made it
hard to think though, he knew he must find some pills by opening that cabinet.

"Oh! Oh! Trevor! Trevor! I know!" - Steve said excitedly.
"Push the cabinet down! Crash it! Craash it!! Then you can take the pills! Yeah!"

Trevor looked behind the cabinet, it was not tied or bolted down like his little table,
maybe Steve was on to something. He grabbed the cabinet from one side and pushed,
the cabinet moved a little bit..

"Don't push!! Pull!! Pull!! Pull Trevor, Pull!"

Trevor did, he pulled and his back started to feel like it was tearing in half,
he screamed in pain and Adam laughed and laughed, he was loving this.
Ricky screamed with Trevor, next thing he knew, he heard a loud crash and the
cabinet was on the floor. Pieces of glass littered around it.

The cabinet was face down and the pills were still inaccesible..

"Pft! Great idea, Steeeve..." - Trevor said to himself, but not really.
"Hey! at least I had one, noone else said anything.. *******.."

Trevor was exhausted, he was feeling thirsty too.
He moved some of the glass out of the way with his hospital shoes and sat down besides the fallen cabinet.

"Now what? What should I do?" - Trevor asked.

He gasped in surprise when a loud bang came from the door, then another followed, another. The banging continued and the moaning begun. They knew he was in here.. the demons has very good hearing, it seemed.

"Open the door, Trevor, let them in. They just want to play with you.."
"Lie still Trevor, they'll get bored and go away soon.. dont be scared, you are safe.."
"Daddy!!! Help me!!! Moooom!!! Don't leave me alooone!"

Trevor shut his eyes forcefully and concentrated hard, sometimes it worked to shut them up, he imagined himself going inside his room when he stayed with the Blacks, they were a nice family, he loved them.

Time passed and the banging stopped, but he could still hear them moaning outside the door.
His back felt numb and his arms were very weak, he was thirsty and hungry too.. he was familiar with this and it didn't bother him much, he just wished he was back with the Blacks or the Robinsons.. he had plenty of food with them.

He got close to the door, the moaning making a pleasant song like they were singing to him, trying to make him feel comfortable enough so he can open the door. There was something hypnotic in their moans, somehow, it promised peace.

The tempo shifted and the moans got louder and more of them begun to sing, some of them begun to move, their feet shuffling around to the rhythm. Trevor tried to listen more closely but apart from the demons, he could not hear anything.

"Trevor, they are coming, hide!" - Jeane said.

Trevor crawled to a corner, hidden between two cabinets, in the shadows.

Fighting started outside the room, odd squishing sounds and blows hitting flesh, small grunts and growls, heavy things falling to the floor. The doorknob rattled and he could hear someone cursing outside.

"Trevor! Play Dead!"
"No Trevor, get ready to fight! Grab a piece of the broken glass from the cabinet window! Remember how I thought you, pierce and slash! pierce and slash!"
"We're DEAD! DEAD! They're gonna rip us apart!!! hahahahahaha!!!"

Trevor winced as he tried to get up and crawl towards the broken cabinet but suddenly the doorknob was smashed in and he froze from fear, then he went limp, his eyes unfocused and his breath barely perceptible.

"Hah! Stupid piece of crap!" Trevor heard the door being kicked in and it hit the tumbled shelf.
"Damn, looks like someone was here.., yo! Trianna, everyone ok out there?"

A woman voice replied, she was tired. "Yeah, we're good. Hurry before the rest come back from our diversion."
"Man, look at this.. this guy was torn apart yet he still came at us.. unbelievable.." Another man's voice said with awe.

The man inside the room pulled the smashed cabinet up with a grunt, he started looting all the pills and putting them in a big white bag.

"Oh ****! Here they come!! Pete! Get the **** out of there, now!"
"Wait, we hit the motherload here! I need more time!"
"Screw that man, look!! look!! They're dozens of them, they are filling the hallway from side to side!"
"Pete!! NOOWW!!!"
"****... "

Trevor heard them leave, running like scared rats down the hallway, the groans and moans from the zombie group growing louder and louder, it was more of a concerto then a song. Inside the chaos of their music, Trevor could hear some kind of pattern, like a drummer setting the tempo for the ship's slave to row faster.

Trevor crawled to some of the bottle of pills strewn around on the floor. He picked one and saw its labeled, although what it said did not make sense to him he opened the bottle, the little white pills did not look like the medicine he needed.
