Warhamer's Long Term Plan
Get parent's to believe me that a zombie apocalypse is happening (they live like a couple houses down). Head to mall (only if the virus appeared somewhere like at least a state away from NY and is lvl 1 outbreak) and get anything extra I need so I can survive. If it too risky to go to mall then then I ration all of mine, my parents and my brothers food. barricade my house with large hard to move objects. get a ladder to second floor take everything needed to second floor and destroy outside and inside stairs. Try to start to do whatever food I can preserve so it lasts longer. Hold it out till the panic start to stop and head to nearby middle school. one reaching there with supplies heads in with brother to check for how many zeds and if only a couple kills them with rifle. After making sure its safe brings it supplies and finds a sutiable place for a pantry mess-hall and sleeping area for us (if i meet any survivors that have no signs of being infected then they can join me). Cut down nearby trees for barricading and fuel and get started on setting barricades and ditchs. Send out a raid to the nearby gas station have them use binoculars is there's more then 20 we'll stay away until were stronger and keep working on barricades. Work together to make a water filter and rain/snow catchers keeping working on defenses. Should have the trench gotten a little big and wide by now send out a recon team of two to look for a safe way to Liverpool lake. Have someone etch out a map of what the city parts we visited are now. get the solar panels removed from the school and hook them back up on top for better protection ans so I can redirect them.

the first part you typed is more short-term.
my long-term plan would be to lose my dependence on technology. bullets are gonna run out eventually (unless you find/make tools to make more). the food is going to run out or go bad eventually. cities would only get worse w/ time: bandits/raiders, ppl crowding.. basically my long-term plan would be to learn to live like a pioneer as close as possible. not needing to make trips into the city to get supplies. learning how to make & use more primitive weapons, farm the land & gather, hunt & prepare my own food, first aid & herbs, edible native plants, building my own shelter, etc. |
