Weapon Calibers
This is a placeholder. I'll be adding objective information and observations on various calibers/gauges of ammo. Penetration, cost, availability, ballistics, etc. As it's late in my timezone, I shall finish this tomorrow night.
My notes:
things to cover
9mm vs .40 vs. .357sig
5.7mm
poll?
big bore and magnum handgun calibers
380, 32, 25
rifle ballistics
handloads
20 vs 12 recoil
less common gauges
shotgun ammo types, pattern data
practical.22 lr uses

Here are some examples of good calibers to use on Zack,
1. .22 LR: While this is a poor choir against humans, it's range is lacking, and has a very small chance it may not kill zack on the first shot, it is one of them most plentiful caliber's in the world, as well as one of the lightest, cheapeast, smallest, quietest, AND most widely chambered calibers in the world, it can work against zack, hunting small animals, and can work in both pistols and rifles. 2. 9x19mm Parabellum: This caliber is possibly the most common pistol caliber in the world, especially in the western world. It is light, has low recoil, is small, packs more than enough punch to kill zack and isn't half bad against the living either. 3. 9x18 mm Marakov: Same as above only it is common in the eastern world, as millions upon millions of marakov pistols have filtered out of Russia over the past 50 or so years. The only difference than the parabellum is that it is slightly weaker and not as common in the western hemisphere. 4. .38 special, same as the above two, only slightly less powerful most of the time but generally fine for both zack and humans alike, it is probably one of the most common revolver calibers in the world. Note: While it may cost and weight a bit more, use a .357 magnum revolver. These are useful because, while you generally won't be using .357 it can fire .357 mag AND .38 special and in case you find magnum ammom, you'll have more ammo than you did before. Though also remember, DON'T TRY CHAMBERING .357 IN A .38! It will either break the gun if you're lucky or explode if you are unlucky (which will consequently also break the gun. Ok that's all for now folks, I'll be adressing some bad pistol caliber's next time! |

I would surely use a .22 Rimfire. Allow me to explain why:
-Ammo is very common -If a headshot is scored, the bullet will go inside the skull but NOT OUT. It will ricochet around in the zombie's skull and rip apart the brain. HAHA |
