No weapons?
Hellz yes, they do. Look at the wiki pages menu to the left of the screen. click on weapons & gear. go to the melee weapons link. top of the page.
that back spike is better than the blade, IMO.

ACTUAL GEAR
"yeah its pretty bad... if ya get a license its fine, you need an approved gunsafe in your home if you want to bring home one of your guns and they cost upwards of about $500...
well china town sells $50 swords haha... not the best quality but can do sum damage.... also global gear sells battle ready swords but they a few thousand :(" This looks good from Global Gear: http://www.sword-buyers-guide.com/global-gear.html And it looks like you might be able to get an exemption from the anti-sword laws too: http://www.globalgear.com.au/webcontent15.htm

Fox's Zombie gear
First, in the event of a massive zombie outbreak, I wouldn’t carry much. There is no point in ‘hunting’ zombies. If the outbreak has reached levels that make the military obsolete, I’m not going to launch a personal campaign against them alone. I would certainly have found a safe place to live out the crisis before I gathered any gear. Once I had a safe place, the only reason I would spend much time away from it would be hunter-gatherer missions. Since I would be expecting to carry things back, I wouldn’t take more with me than I absolutely needed.
I wouldn’t wear much. I’m a Floridian. I’ve read about chain mail (too noisy) and shark resistant wetsuits (too binding), but I think that as long as I wore clothes that were clingy, so that a zombie wouldn’t have anything to grab hold of, I would be fine. They are, after all, slow movers, and I’m pretty quick. Dark clothing would certainly be ideal. Field issue tactical pants with a good pair of running shoes and maybe a dark long sleeved t-shirt would be the extent of my ‘going out’ clothes. If my mission required me to carry back anything I couldn’t fit in a “North Face Recon II” backpack, I would drive. A diesel powered Dodge Ram 2500 would be fine. I would of course modify it to have it sit high above a zombies ability to reach into the windows. I’d also have reinforced brush guards, a rock climbing suspension, and onboard stowage for spare batteries and gas cans. Where weapons are concerned I would not carry anything too loud, or anything that needed to be reloaded a lot (like a shotgun). An M-1 would be good, but a couple of silenced Glock 9mms would be perfect. Extra magazines go without saying. I’d have a machete and a long sharp stick as a primary means of defense though. Neither of those need to be reloaded. Oh, and if I could get my hands on a samurai sword that would be my absolute first choice.

Issue with meele weapons
Good point, but depending on what type of zombie you're dealing with, you may be able to get away with melee kills. If it's a slow moving, completely dead real zombie, NOT an infected person with the appearance of a zombie, then their blood won't really be pumping. A sharp blow to the head may cause some blood to splatter from momentum, but probably not with a steady force that will shoot a fountain of blood into your face. Also, I would personally reserve melee kills for dealing with small numbers, as in 3 maximum. Maybe more if they are slow and spaced out. Then I would really shoot for making my kills happen with the zombie ON THE GROUND. Assuming I had a bat or something, I would probably do some sort of kick or sweep knocking the zombie down. Then I would quickly proceed to smash its head in. That way, the zombies' head is easily exposed, far away from my face, and upon contact and destruction, won't have to fall, meaning blood probably won't splatter as much. Hell, if you have a pitchfork or something, you could knock him down an take him out with a quick clean impalement. I definitely agree about wearing face protection though. If you have the upper hand and are able to obtain weapons and protective gear, might as well go all out and grab a face mask while you're at it, right?

Weapons for Urban warfare
Not only would a direct offensive move require massive amounts of resources(people, munitions, and other gear)...you would have to incorporate massive amounts of coordination and communication...without it you'd end up with friendly fire casualties, scattering of resources, lost or confused personnel...you'd have to break down into 4-man teams each with radios and a variety of weapons and munitions and the knowledge to use them...every structure infiltrated would require a sniper team overwatch and a security team overwatching them...all recon and intelligence would have to be reported to a central source, logged, and translated to a useful real-time state and then sent to central command where it can be incorporated into directives and countermeasures and then relayed back to the appropriate team for tactical use...it sounds easy, but in a shit storm with inexperienced soldiers, lightening fast situational shifts, and without a good central control would be a suicide mission reguardless of how good your weapons are or how fast you could resupply ammo.

Re:Best Defensive Firearms/Weapons for Zombie Killin
carrying a rifle only sucks if you are not overly concerned with your safety.
when i was a saw gunner i was the new guy in my platton and i wasn't allowed to carry my saw with a sling until i had been with the unit for 2 months imagine a 15 mile road march with that, my gear and no sling. i think my arms stayed at the ready position for a couple of days after.
for zombie killing i would recommed silenced weapons. at least after the begining and the chaos has quieted down. hk usp 45 tactical, with silencer, and laser sight. if you can find it an xm8 or scar, and m4 all silenced with acogs maybe a tac light with vertical grips on the barrel, and a the ultimate in rifle slings the mamba fighting sling. maybe a shotgun, just in case, 12 ga pistol grips no buttstock side saddle shell carrier serratted end barrel. too many weapons too much weight. machine guns will just be a waste of bullets. concentrate on marksmanship close quarters 7 ft to 24 for pistols, and mid range 50 meters to 300 meters, you can do long range for fun when you get your self in a secure area.

Realistic Gear
Some of the people who posted apparently only shop via an online encyclopedia of guns and ammo. Carrying anything more than a main weapon and a backup is ridiculous because of the weight that is involved. A single bullet doesn't weigh much but add up rounds of ammo in the amounts posted above, plus the weight of the weapons themselves, plus the actual weight of the survival items and you wouldn't be able to out walk a "Z" horde let alone run. Think mobile to stay alive. A good knife, some environmentally appropriate clothing, something to start a fire with, a small axe and some food is about all you can realistically expect to get quickly. Guns and ammo, unless you already have them, aren't going to be overly commom, especially in Canada.

Wiinnipeg, S.I.R.
has batteries, candles, stoves and other camping gear for survival functions, just little to no food in the store, so that would be a minor problem
