Weapons for Teens
Omg, I need a gun. Oh, maybe I can upgrade the nerf gun, or get one from the gun store.
No, in fact none of your supposed "firearms" are going to work. No one said you needed a gun to survive anyway. Your COD experience will not help you here, so without further delay, we here at ZSDW have decided to aid you young minds in the millions of improvised weapons that do not involve guns, or anything that will freak your parents out, because you are 14 and you cannot drive.
Lets go over some basics.
BASICS
1. If you are here, you will probably not get a gun soon.
2. Contrary to popular belief, you are not a super soldier. You are just a regular person. Playing FPS all day does not make you a gun expert.
3. Get some physical fitness.
4. You are not cool on Z'day.
5. Finding a gun on Z'day will be hard.
6. No throwing knives, crossbows, Deagles, etc on here.
I think we're good there. On to the list.
I will be rating it on effectiveness, weight, durability, and avaliability. The higher the rating, the better it is in the area.
Branch/Stick
It's quite simple folks! You can find this in your front yard! Just break one off, you have a weapon!
You may:
A. Whack it at people. Try going for the legs, you'll probably break it more easily than the head.
B. Get a pocket knife, and whittle the top. If you don't know what that is, basically you just keep carving off bits and bits of a wood. Do this until you get a point. You have an instant spear. This is a bit more effective, as a stick will break easily on people.

Kitchen Knife
Unless your mom is the worst chef in the industry, every household should have one of these. They come in many various shapes ans sizes. It is reccomended you get one without serrated teeth(those zig zag things), and have one that is smooth instead(so it won't get stuck). Great to take with you to school everyday, these are usually made to cut through meat. Do beware the ones with thin sheet metal blades, those don;
You may:
A. Stabby
B. Slicey
C. Secure it tightly on pole/stick. Instant spear.
Just don't be an idiot with it.

amazingly enough a stick about 1.5 inches thick and six inches long is capable of inflicting massive damage to the skull if thrown decently and is much easier to use and come across than a throwing knife. so a stick is actually a rather effective weapon if used correctly. there are also some much more powerful improvised weapons like incendiary rockets which can be made relatively simply when you have lots of time. An incendiary rocket is simply a model rocket engine with one hollow aluminum cone over the front, inside the cone is another cone of white phosphorous (easily made at home) and a smaller cone of dynamite (also rather easy to make) inside the wp, when launched (should be aimed at 45 degree angle over zeds) it will fly out some 100 to 300 yards and then detonate, spreading "your love" to the zombie horde.
P.S. do not make this unless you actually are being directly threatened by something very dangerous as wp will ignite on contact with air.

Okay this is for all the teens with over protective parents (thank god i'm not one of them).
Most of your fathers probably have a toolbox with various tools in it. To crack the average front plate of a human skull you need a hammer with a 1 and a half inch diameter head on it that weighs about 5 pounds swinging at 15 miles per hour. That is very easily achievable for anyone. Come on you are bound to be able to walk into your garage and find a tire iron or a monkey wrench a garden hoe or something. your bound to have a sledge hammer or anything that can easily crush a skull dont underestimate the average wrench or even a long skinny philips head screw driver should be able to punch through the temple of a skull. |

A very easy weapon to get ahold of is a kubaton or ring shank. they are unregulated everywhere and cheap. Yhey bassically concentrate the force of a blow into one point. This may not be very effective on a zed but on a human attacker it can inflict some real pain. Expecially in the hands of an expert who knows how to hit nerve points. However anyone can use it to maximize their force. The areas i recomend to hit are the temple, directly behind the jaw and under the ear, the throat the collar bone, the pectoral. the sides of the ribs, hip bones thigh and where the muscle of the upper arm and shoulder connect. However itll hurt wherever you hit them.
