Okay, you wake up one morning. Turn on theTelevision, and realize the dead are coming back to life devouring the living. Marshal Law where a system of rules that takes effect when the military takes control of the normal administration of justice has been instated. Who would you save? Where would you go? What would you do?
You have nothing in your fridge.

1. Your own mother was bitten by a zombie, what would you do? how would you handle it mentally and emotionally?
necrolyte:I will say sorry and put a bullet on her head and give my mom a proper burial.
cormacr9:I would shoot her in the head then move on.survival is more important then family members.
TonyPro--Since she was kind enough to carry me in her womb for nine months, I guess I'd spare her a bullet.
Sporezombie: So you would condemn her to be a zombie and kill other people then. A bullet to the head is a mercy killing
Death Hawk- I don't know-cause I love my mum but i'm sure if she was a zombie for more than a week, a cure would be useless as the body would of decomposed, and my mum won't be there. In fact the cure may get rid of the zombieness but she still might be dead-so I believe I would kill her- mind you if she was bit on a limb and I was there at the time I'd chop her bitten limb of-she might not become infected.
Hell_Razor: There's time for a funeral later. Do what you got to do and shed a tear once you're safe.
Tuck Duck & Roll: I'd get her distracted and when she didn't expect it, I'd shoot her in the back of the head, then I'd grieve. Can't really say how I'd take it, hope to never find out.
Spraymachine: I'd stick her in our panic room and barricade the door so there is no way she could get out.
Skinnyeddy: I'd do pretty much the same as Spraymachine and stick her in a room and barricade her in until a cure was found.

Rivers: She should be quickly dispatched of. There is no cure to infection and she only poses as a threat alive.
13th.Casualty - Put her in a metal box, wrap chains around it, and spraypaint the words "Contains undead. DO NOT OPEN" and lock her in there until a cure is found. If a cure is never found, crowbar to the head with no second thoughts. I will mourn her and all the others I might kill when the time is right. (you guys go ahead and waste bullets.)
KaikelX:Shoot her now, cry later. I'd probably break down too. At least for a moment. If it was during a battle, I'd shoot her in the head and worry about it later.
Kelen_Moonhunter: I'd do what pretty much everybody else here has already stated. I'd lay the body to rest. She's no longer alive and thus it is not my mother I would be putting down. Of course I would mourn but, there are times for that and then there are times when it needs to wait. We all judge those times differently, I know when I would when I was safe for the time being but I would never let it keep me from being alert and prepared.
byates: My mom is 250 miles away, not much I could do. Plus I would have to go through the largest city in the state to get there.
quickrace89: If my mum was bitten by a zombie, she would be killed. So I'd be upset, but I'd have no problems destroying the corpse, because my mother is already dead. Then I'd continue on with my plans.
Trancecore: End it right there. Would suck, but it has to be done.
Jesden: It would be an act of mercy, and a nescesary evil.
UnUndead: Take the ax to her head. The rest of my family needs to stay safe.

Queen-Lover: I would never shoot her, zombie or not she's still my mum. I would just lock her in a secure room and wait to see if there is a cure. Or if it was in a city and the infection spreads to the brain really quickly (im thinking the speed it does in 28 Days Later - so 10ish seconds) I would leave her there and drive away as quickly as possible, all with the expected tears and stuff. Would probably go on a zombie killing rampage and kill a hundred of the bastards for killing my mum lol.
JeffCee: She would be my test case to see if a bite turns you into a zombie. depending on where she was bit, we might try an amputation first. if she turns, bullet to the head.
lancer_AR: I'd mercy kill her.
SOCT-1: Try to keep mentally numb or failing that, think of all the stuff shes done that pisses me off and tap(Thats Special Forces speak for shoot) her in the forehead. I would dispose of the body depending on the situation.

2. What if you were trapped in a large city?
necrolyte:I'll stay in my house.Besides we live in the suburbs
cormacr9:I would hide in a bar i know.It's a victorian building that was turned in to a night club so the walls are thick,the windows are boarded up and the door is big and strong.i'd bring food,guns and other supplies.
TonyPro--In all probability I would be trapped in the city of Oxford, as it is the only city I spend much time in. My sister goes to school there and is a member of a medieval warfare reenactment group, and they know how to handle primitive weapons like few others. I'd board myself up in a pub with them.
Sporezombie: Get out of there as fast as possible/
Hell_Razor: I'd disagree. With a large panic occurring, the streets are going to be swarmed with refugees and traffic jams. You're best bet is to reinforce a position, such as a building with an easily demolished staircase, and wait for the panic to subside. It will still be risky, but one of the most dangerous animals on the planet is a panicked mob of people.
Tuck Duck & Roll: No sense trying to escape, some idiot with 12 ounces of gas in his vehicle's gas tank will hit the highway and plug it up when he runs out. If I wasn't already provisioned for a long stay at my place, I'd head for the local church. The building is built like a fort and they have ton's of canned food laying around for the food program they run. They also have blankets, clothing, etc, the only thing thats missing is firearms and I'll bring those.
Spraymachine: Find a small food store with a plated gate and appartments ontop. Barracade the store, destroy stairs in appartment, smash a hole in roof of store. Live in building, eat in store.
Skinnyeddy: The closest city to me is Truro (Cornwall, England) so I'd probably head to Argos/B&Q/Mallets/Tescos for weapons and supplies and then either a) barricade myself in Tescos/the Cathedral or b) Find a boat in the river and go.

Richboy23mj:I never really leave my city, except to go to Detroit or Lynchburg. In that emergency, I would barricade myself in amll with my fellow survivors and wait it out.
GrantHatman Convert the nearest building to me into my base by killing any undead in it and puting the survivors in a secure rooms isolated from eachother so that incase one was bitten, no one else would be attacked. Next I would take survivors that are not bitten for sure with me to find supplys. After that I look for a way out.
Sparktrog:I don't ever go into downtown. I live in the suburbs with all the reasons to not have to go there around me. I go downtown maybe once every two years.
HopeForBetterTimes: Set up a secure (enough) location and gather supplies before the number of undead reaches unmanageable limits. Then hole up until I can't stand it anymore or need more supplies.
Alicestar: 72 hr bug out bag on a dirtbike and get the F*^K outa dodge!
Rivers: Going anywhere is suicide. I would just find a secure two story building and eliminate any way up to the second floor where I would patiently wait a nuclear explosion on the city or a chance to escape.
Kingrich3: I wouldn't be in the city, I know that you're screwed no matter what you do, so I live somewhere nice and desolate. (Canada)
13th.Casualty - Get on a motorcycle (traffic will be bad) and head to the nearest port and live on a yacht a mile away from shore until the initial wave has passed.
KaikelX:Get to the suburbs asap and fortify my house there. Most likely I'd be in my general area since I don't travel much.
Death Hawk- Simple head to a river and try and get a boat, if theres no boat the first few days are going to be utter chaos as people try to escape and the infection starts to spread, then I'd hole upsomewhere with enough supplies to last a week a two and what weapons and equipment I can get then when things have quited down I'd try to escape, I know the basics to fly a helicopter and a small airoplane not a jet or anything a propellor powered one.
Kelen_Moonhunter: I'd get out of the city and into the suburbs as quickly, quietly, and efficiently as possible. There's too many numbers to have to deal with in a big city. Those are pretty much no go zones in my books.
byates: My job has me in the middle of the biggest metro area in the state once a week. Fortunately I am usually out of town before morning rush hour starts. Worst case head for the freeway and home, light traffic and few people after five miles or so.
Jesden: Either head to my stepdads boat, or get to the suburbs, I'm halfway between both so it depends on the direction of the horde.
UnUndead: I'd hook up with a group that knew the city weel and had a good plan to get out.
Quickrace89: If I couldn't escape, I'd hole up in my apartments - I've got my plan for it on another page somewhere.
Queen-Lover: I would hide in the back room of the Games-workshop I visit every Sunday, so if zombies look through the window they wont see me! :D
JeffCee: I'd find the top floor of an apartment building and scrounge the rest of the building.
Lancer_AR: hide in a building and wait for a little while then go and try to escape.
SOCT-1: E & E my way out of town and regroup with SOCG
Cueto: unfortunately I am an MP I would be expected to uphold Martial law, In reality My wife would pack the guns and the child, I'd draw my weapons from the arms room and disappear. Grab them and we'd book for the burbs, or a farm.
Enad23: I would head to the nearest gun store with a few friends while a second group would go to a store and Get as much canned goods as possible while a third group would secure my highschool since it is built like a fort. I'd wait there for a month or til our food supply ran out.
AgEnT GrEEn: With my crew? They already know their desgnated roles, but I will remind them if the shock of an Outbreak actually happening makes them forget. Alone? I'd use cover and try to scope out a good place to set up a temporary/semi-permanent abode. Then I'd wait for the madness to calm down and then I'd go and begin to forage/scavenge/salvage until I have enough to make my exodus.


3. What if the first outbreak happened during the night while your sleeping and they got into your house?
necrolyte:I'll have my baseball bat on my closet and my crowbar under my bed.
cormacr9:I have a kukri machete and a beretta 96g in my room.they wouldn't even have a chance.
TonyPro--I sleep with a Khukri under my futon, with which I train daily.
Sporezombie: arm myself and implement plan A for my house
Hell_Razor: Hmm, good thing my .45 is right under my bed.
Tuck Duck & Roll: My 12 gauge is always loaded in my closet and I keep a loaded .357 in my dresser.
Spraymachine: Go to my closet, grab the wooden dowel my clothes are hanged on, then make my way to my M4+other guns. Use stick to bash/push away/ram zombies en route to guns.
Skinnyeddy: My house has three floors and I sleep on the top floor so I'd probably get my Guitar or my dads drill from the Loft. I'd use my brothers chair to barricade the stairs.
SuperSoldierRCP:I own a modifed P90(in the headset of my bed), my dad owns a 40glok and a .40 , 37 semi rifle where fine
Richboy23mj:I would grab a knife and kill a few, wake up my family, and get outta dodge.
GrantHatman I keep my doors locked at night, so I would hear them if they broke in. If someone in my house were the zombie, I would be eaten in my sleep because I am a heavy sleeper.

HopeForBetterTimes: I live on the second floor of a secured-access apartment building. So if they got in I would probably wakeup from the noise by the time they made it in my room. In that case I'd grab my boyfriend's machete that lives under the bed and hack 'em up.
Alicestar: selector switch from safe to semi kill what I NEED to kill and close off the partition that im on and get to work on the baracades.
Kingrich3: I'd be screwed, all my plans rely on me being up and about. Not freakin snoring.
13th.Casualty - Get take a crowbar to the roof pronto. If it's an S-Class zombie, I'm screwed.
KaikelX:I'd definitely hear our thick wooden door start to fail. I'd rouse my parents, grab my BB pistol with ammo and two clips, my wooden sword and get out via vehicle. I'd worry about everything else later. About the BB, you never know when it might come in handy if I manage a hit in the eye at almost point plank. With my wooden sword I can keep a few zombies at bay while I run.
Kelen_Moonhunter: My house is quite secure with windows that are all above chest level on the ground floor and the only doors in are heavy wood. I would more or less here if someone broke in, it wouldn't be the first time so I'm actually talking out of experience on that. I sleep with a foot long dagger that is regularly sharpened and I practice martial combat skills. I'm failry certain I'd be able to deal with the threat efficiently and immediately set to work with the rest of my plan of survival. I've thought this scenario through before.
byates: Two noisey small dogs should give me enough wakeup, a .45 on my side of the bed and a .357 on my wives should slow them down. Probably should have something inconspicuous blocking the lower part of the windows in the front of the house, decorative iron bars?
Death Hawk- I'd be ok. I have rick walls at least 6 foot high up tp 15 foot in some places Ihave big wooden gates which are easily baricaded, and any sound that's loud like heavy footsteps or smashing wakes me. I have generraly enough tinned food to last a week or so for everyone in my family, there's lot's of baths and water storadge facilities for water, we have a lot of tools including a lathe and welder, to repair stuff if i don't have enough time to get stuff along with lots of barricading. I'm also going to buy myself soon a quick reload crossbow, tanto, ninjite, katana and a set of gil hibben throwing knives.
quickrace89: I keep a glock in my bedside table, and a pump-action shotgun under the bed. I'd be able to begin to carry out my zombie survival plans.
Trancecore: 2 story townhouse w/wood-fenced backyard, small front window, and narrow entry way. 2nd floor sleeper always with a closed door. I'd hear it for sure and have plenty of time to barricade the stairs [which would be easy since it's a "half-flight, 180 turn, half-flight"]. If I knew I couldn't stay inside for long, I can easily reach the roof which would give me a great view of what my options would be from there.
Jesden: I have a laser system in my house at ankle level and the alarms next to my head, so I'm sure I'd wake up. Also, you have to go up steps to every entrance to my house, so I'm pretty safe.
UnUndead: Out the window and onto the roof. Across the roof, jump onto the shed. Jump off shed, get pickax out of shed, kill Zs.
Queen-Lover: I would pick up one of the hockeysticks in my room, alert my parents and bash in some zombie heads.
JeffCee:I sleep with my bedroom door locked and a katana in easy reach
Lancer_AR: I live on the second floor and when people open the door my upstairs door bangs against the doorway so I'd wake up.
SOCT-1: Well if they got in my house early on there probably not stenches because we have 7 foot tall gates outside my house and who knows how many other obstacles outside and in but: I'm deadly with my gerber 3 In. blade and am training to take zed on in H2H.
cueto: I have got a .45 in the nightstand with 2 magazines
AgEnT_GrEEn: I'd proceed to push the computer desk next to the door in front of it, then I'd get dressed, get my B.O.B. from the closet, grab my Jaeger stick, push the desk back and clear the house. When that's been completed, I'd repair the house as best I can, then enact the GPOiA.


4. What if you had a five year old son or daughter who was bitten by a zombie????

TonyPro--I'd make it quick. Actually, I'd probably just bitch out and chain them in the basement. Let's face it, they're not gonna be much of a threat. I could even perform experiments on the little dude in the hopes of finding a cure.
Quickrace89: That's a pretty shit situation... but I'd probably have to give him sleeping pills - I don't think I could actually shoot my son in the head, even if I know the 'my son' part has died. I'd be able to shoot him once he became a zombie, though.

Tuck Duck & Roll: My fall back position is my out building, where I keep other firearms, 3-one gallon jugs of ice in the freezer and 30 days worth of mountain house food.
Spraymachine: Move guns+ammo, BOB bag, and MRE's/water out, head to my neighbor's where they have enough guns/ammo to kill 5000 zombies. (They have a walk in closet devoted to guns and ammo)
Skinnyeddy: I would probably head for the village shop. It has a concrete cellar where it keeps the stock before it goes onto the Shelf. I'd barricade myself and other survivors into the Cellar after taking more supplies from the main shop.

KaikelX:Okay, I move to the second of our houses. I'd probably be in a group so we know plenty of places.
Kelen_Moonhunter: I've got other buildings and other back-up shelters to fall back on. Not only that but, I am a survival expert and I live in a rural area thats a good distance from the little suburb that I'm a part of. There is plent of wooded area and farmland on my property, fifty acres worth.
byates: Guest house, 20x30 detached workshop, miscellaneous other building. I think I have options.
Trancecore: Would suck, but I've got plenty of options available around me.
Jesden: Its me that started it after I got everything I needed. probably booby trap it with a bomb and a dead body. kill some zeds :P
UnUndead: Get family in previously stocked up pickup, and head north, because there's nobody for miles and miles north of my house.
Quickrace89: I live in concrete flats, no burning for me.
Death Hawk-Highly unlikely seing as there's three buildings to my compound one of them seperate from the others, I'd either camp out in my burnt down compound or more likel I'd head up north to my static caravan in the lake district. It's surrounded by woods, isolated lots of fuel and building materials-wood. Also, there are lot of animals near by, including sheep, cows and deer, ther is garlic and lots of wild berries as well as rocket. The carvan is about half a click from a lake that has a couple of islands and I have a couple of boats with engines, oars or sails.
Queen-Lover: I would hide in the shop that sells all the sweets and uniforms in the school I live next to, board up the windows and eat all the mars bars!!!
JeffCee: I would have moved on almost right away. let it burn.
Lancer_AR: what ever I could do get some food and book it.
SOCT-1: If it were a localized outbreak I'd already be deputized and staying in a battlebox. If it were larger I'd be deputized and staying in a battlebox.
AgEnT_GrEEn: I'd salvage any extras [I have basic survival gear on me at all times and additional supplies in my LBV, which is stored in an un-burnable spot of my house;] Then I'd mutter something about all that labor to renovate that house being wasted and carry on with my GPOiA.


6. Would you be bothered to rescue your S.O.?
necrolyte:I'll protect her to the DEATH!
cormacr9:no.she can't hold a weapon and is really unmentaly stable.
TonyPro--If she called me up ahead of time and apologized about the milk. Her family can all die, though.
Sporezombie: Yes get her and no infected family
Tuck Duck & Roll: Hell yes, I'd go through a pack of zombies with a butter knife to get her away to safety. (Her brother can be zombie chow for all I care.)

Trancecore: Europe is a bit out of my reach, so if Z-Day came before they could make it to me, I'd first carry out my plan, then see what I could do to solve the distance problem. If we were together before it happened, they'd be perfectly safe as long as I was still around.
Jesden: probably, depends on how close we were at the time of the outbreak. we both know how to handle ourselves in emergencys and fire guns.
UnUndead: No, because we live on opposite sides of the U.S, and Boston will be swarming with Zs long before I get there. Early on in the outbreak I'd let her know where I plan to be.

7. If your group was barricaded in a house and they needed someone to go forage for supplies, would you volunteer?

Death Hawk-Yer, I know what to get, I can carry a lot, know what to do and i got good skills and can handle myself. Mind you cause I got some good skills the rest of the group might not survive if I get killed. Hmm!

Hell_Razor: Seeing as how I'd probably be in charge, most likely not. I'd send the guy who could sneak better along with the guy who could run the fastest.

13th.Casualty - Ralphs is about four blocks away. Yeah, I guess. It'll be good excersice and practice. Besides, I'm great at thinking up plans in a split-second. Even if they were'nt really too thought out.
KaikelX: My friends and I would rotate 'jobs', so if it's my turn to go with the scavenge group, then I'm going.
Kelen_Moonhunter: My group has always seen me as the leader and the survivor/scout and has always viewed me as the top combatant of my group. I would go out not just because of their support but also because I believe I have the capability to do so efficiently and it would be needed done so I would do it.
byates: If it last long enough for me to run out, it has lasted long enough for the area to be fairly clear. So yes I would go.
Trancecore: Sure. I'd always be willing to help out. And it would give me a chance to scout the area, and perhaps work on my combative skills, if it came to that.

Death Hawk- It depends, if my group had other people with skills like mine then yes if not I might be leaving my group for good and then they may not survive because lack of training and experience.

13th.Casualty - If she's nearby, I would try to rescue her (and gather supplies and survivors along the way) and then lock her in a metal box with food and water for a day. Wrap it in chain and spray paint "Contains undead. DO NOT OPEN" on it.

Kelen_Moonhunter: If my mother was stuck somewhere and I knew it was hostile territory I would risk myself for her sake but, I would not risk any others even if that means that if I was the only means of survival for people very close to me (such as other loved ones) and I had to leave them, then I would consider that putting others at risk.
byates: I would have about zero chance of reaching her, the cities she goes to are on the other side of her home away from me. The rest of the family is closer, so if they didn't think there was a chance, I would go with their judgement.
Trancecore: I would probably get 1-3 to come with me as I hack my way through the hordes to see if I could find her. Don't know if she'd survive, though. If I made it in time, then cool. If not, then it was good "crowd control" experience. Plus there's just that much fewer zeds to worry about by the time we make it back to base.
Jesden: No, I would have other responsibilitys by the time any news like that went. I'm one of the best shooters in our club, so i couldnt do it for one person, even if they are my mother.

Tigertank: Just a note to anyone coming to Canada, you would pretty much have to go to northern territories, since souther Canada winters (toronto) is only average of -5 degrees, and 20 something summers.

Death Hawk-If on a limb I would chop off imediately, if on body I would try to treat with peroxide fire or acid, the last two can kill any disease or virus, then I would tie myself up then get one of my group to look after me then if I turn into one, who knows I might pass I'd get them to do it because sucide is a cardinal sin so I wouldn't be able to get into heaven.

SuperSoldierRCP- Theres a SWAT team member that lives like 2blocks away, book it over there and grab his guns and ammo(i know he as a riot shotgun and a 40glok i think he has an M16 to)
UnUndead: I'd jump onto the shed, then into my neighbor's backyard and run into the fields. I can survive on pinions, right?
Death Hawk-I would try to rappel down then push through the thinnest line of zombies, and shoot any that get in my way, or try to clear the house, then barricade in or run through house as fast as possible pushing past or killing any zombies.
Queen-Lover: I would get really pissed off and kill a few zombies, then after my rage has sub-sided I will just sit, depressed and wait for the infection to take it's course... then turn into a zombie.

Dominickmagas: I'd do it, i'd attack the zombies to give her a chance to escape, i don't really care if I die, as long as I can see my mother alive and free.
