When Z-day rolls around we know that most of use are grabbing all the canned foods or RTEM. So i wanna know what u plan to do. Plan to take livestock? gonna grow your own food cuz you got a bag of a million corn seeds? Tell me your thoughts and idea's

Me and my group plan to each all perishables for the first 2weeks meat, fresh fruit and veggies. ANY AND EVERYTHING in the freezer and refrigerator, after that its canned and RTEM's till we can farm.

I plan to, like most others, eat all perishables first, rationing what food I have until I can stock up on RTEM's and ramen noodles, and not to forget the SPAM. Also, I'm going to raid a farm for small livestock (chickens, a pig or two) and some seeds for my main fortress.

Dooran: To hell with meat after the pre-slaughtered spoils. It'll be cans, followed by foraging (there will be lots of books at your local library...) and eventually some variety of subsistence farming or fishing. Raising cattle or pigs or the like is an unnecessary use of energy, which can be better put towards staying alive, and mopping up.

Thrawn5: My party will eat ANYTHING edible, you cant be picky when it is life or death.

Walking_Dead4:I say if the power doesn't go out then save the perishables but yes if the power did go out then eat the perishables and livestock first like Thrawn said if your gonna have a chance to survive don't be picky....I bet my parents would buy mushrooms galore and make me eat them LOL....I hate mushrooms:(

The mad badger: I agree with the thoughts of Supersoldier and Original sin. Eat all the perishable stuff first, even if you, or your party don't like it.
As thrawn5 said, you cant be picky. Then get raiding them supermarkets and corner shops! AND GET ALL THE MUSHROOOOOOOOOMS!!!!!!

something else i just though of I live in the desert 5miles from the Rio Grande river, it's like my states Nile lol. I will clear the trees and plant grass for the seeds at the store well holding 20 rabbit. setup a chain link around and area and let he bunnys loses. Rabbits being near the water and a very plentiful food source will make babies like CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! AKA FRESH MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richboy23mj-I'm going to eat whatever I get my hands on. This sounds dangerous, but you gotta eat and you can't be picky. I will mostly want junk food, unfortunately.

karaz: if i go on the run i carry 2 weeks of military rations and some snacks i would find small stores and take stuff from there until i could get to farming.

Blacksteel27- well i live near a wawa and i have plenty of MREs stocked up. just fill the bathtubs with water and im good!

DustinEchos104-we are stockpiling non-perishables, we want to find a suitable place to set up a farm in event of z-day but because we haven't we don't have any seeds or livestock, and i plan on doing lots of scavenging because i want to clear out urban areas, need to take back what is ours and I'm not waiting for the zeds to rot off their bones

well me and a friend of mine have already staked out a location, it's a Menards, right next to a pay low, and in close proximity to a couple of major roads our plan is to use the stuff in Menards to barricade the building, Pay low if you didn't know is a grocery store, filled up with (we've checked) everything from prepackaged nonperishable foods to fruits and veggies, so we get food from there, soil and stuff from menards and we build a planter, we use the seeds from the plants to grow plants, we get bunnies for meat (rabbits are all over our county) we feed them with some of our plants collect rain for water and wait for Winter the first year (we'd be able to stay for quite a while keeping (and going out to collect) our nonperishable foods then during the first winter we observe the zeds to see if my theory is right about the zombies freezing solid during winter, we of course eat some of the non perishables and some stored food (much of the veggies going to keep the bunnies alive of course) then if my theory is right we wait 'til next winter, load up a truck with supplies, weapons, food, bunnies, if I find any pets them to, then we split it all into two cars, that way even if only one of us makes it that one can still survive, we find a boat we can put all the supplies and stuff on, load up on everything we can get, (including fuel of course) then we got north to Canada and finally Alaska, the arctic circle we figure out what grows there and we're good as long as we're set for winter (a long ass, cold as hell winter)

DaveBall: First we will eat fresh fruit and vegetables. We will also eat some of the meat. We will can and jerky most of the meat in the freezer. Depends on the time of year ( in the summer we grow a large garden and can allot of it ). Later we would plant a garden and corn for the animals and bale hay. We will have a large supply of meat, milk, and eggs. We have 200 dairy cows, 20 beef cows, 1500 pigs, 30,000 chickens ( 10,000 egg layers, and 20,000 eaters ). We will also be butchering animals as we need. We can jerky with our wood smoker. We will stock up on canning supplies, and seeds.
