for me, it has got to be the fact that zombies trancend the natural and spritual boundries upon human kind. This would force people to rethink what they belive in order to understand. And understanding a zombie could be the way to survive an attack.

it just seems so plausible. just a rampant more viral strain of rabies and you've essentially got zombies running around infecting through bites and scratches. I think it's going to happen...really. at some point someone is going to realize that there are a lot of pros to having a zombie bioweapon and ignore all the cons.

this site is good, it ensures there will likely be survivors.

I think we are fascinated by the realm of possibility, and specifically how it applies to us. It is to some degree a daydream or fantasy where we become gods, in a sense--handing out life or death by letting survivors in or keeping them out, planning to destroy legions of undead foes from the safety of our fortresses, and surviving against all odds against vastly more numerous forces. It also gives us a humorous way to plan for the worst, and it lets us imagine a radically different world, a change in the social structure and the way humanity goes about its business. And it never hurts to be prepared...
