Winchester Model 1200 shotgun. From world.guns.ruModel: Winchester 1200
The Winchester 1200 is a classic example of a pump-action shotgun, much like the Mossberg 500 and Remington 870. It was introduced in 1964, several years after the Mossberg 500, as a low-cost replacement/modernization of the Winchester Model 12, which itself was a modernization of the classic Winchester Model 1897 that popularized pump-action shotguns; clearly this weapon has a venerable history behind it. It saw a very short amount of military service from 1968 to 1969 in Vietnam among several other combat shotgun designs, with the military version being no different except a ventilated handguard, sling swivels, and a bayonet lug.

In 1983 the 1200 was succeeded by the slightly updated 1300, of which production ended in 2006. Both had a Defender version with a six-shell magazine tube. Among the variants of the 1300 there was the Marine, which was a Defender with an electroless nickel plating that gave it a distinctive silver appearence. The Model 1200 Hunting shotgun had a long 28 inch barrel and built-in choke and the Model 2200 was a 1200 with a longer barrel and stock for sale in Canada. The Model 120 "Plain Jane" is a simpler gun with a birch stock, fixed choke, and other cost-saving measures marketed to department stores.

Anyone know much on these? I don't know if it's satin or not, it's not shiny. :P Kind of like bead blasting for those who know knives. Been in my family since around the time they came out. Anyone have a clue?
