Plan works for any SHTF situation including small-total zombie infestations.
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
Will head out from school to home. Will begin with fortification of home which is always stocked with 3 months worth of food/water for 3 people. Also have enough ammunition and hand loading equipment and supplies to supply a small army with ammo. Once supplies are exhausted or the position is overrun we will retreat to family land in the back country of Indiana.
If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
If we need to bug out we will go as far as possible in our trucks with all the supplies we can fit. If we can't reach the bug out location in the trucks we will go on fit with only essential equipment.
Got anyone you want to take with you?
Mother and Father who both have military training, girlfriend if shes close by when we lock down, aunt and uncle who own the land in Indiana.
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?
AM/FM/WB radio to keep tabs on whats going on outside. No need to communicate with outsiders
How are you planning to get food and water?
Have 3 months of food/water for 3 people at home. Bug out location has farms on 2 sides as well as its own small food plots for attracting deer and 3 ponds well stocked with fish.
What's your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
Colt AR-15, .22 long rifle, Ruger P90 .45, Marlin 1895G 45/70, Cold Steel Kukri Machete
