Zombie Survival Quiz
An attempt to rate your survivability. Does this quiz have any validity? You be the judge. Max Brooks survival chance indicator.
On the website for the book World War Z there is a survival chance calculator much more accurate than the non-lame zombie survival test.
Urban Dead
Urban Dead is a low tech survival simulation in which you are a citezin (or soldier) trapped in a quarentined city called Malton. Along with other players you try to survive. Barricade yourself in buildings and fight of the infection... or just join the ranks of the undead decimating all life in your path. This game takes about 2 weeks of solid play to get in to but once you are playing it you will be addicted.
TimeSplitters 2
Great game for PS2 and tons of zombie levels. Music adds to the scariness,
The Last Stand
During the night, protect your barricade against the oncoming hordes. Manage your time during the daylight hours to search for weapons, survivors and to repair. Move with the WASD keys and aim/shoot with your mouse. Reload with the R key. Press space bar to switch weapons. Defensible Locations
Play this one anywhere. Where would you go in the event of a zombie infestation? Keep in mind: food sources, defensible location should you be overrun by a large group, ammo sources, proximity to medical supplies and/or other survivors. Some simple guidelines:- Assume you will not have power 24 x 7 (since it's unlikely power company employees will be able to keep up with the outages).
- Ask yourself about water - if your location has a well with a pump, you will only have water when your generator runs. Will that be enough? How will you keep it fueled up?
- You will have to make some assumptions about some of the debatable items - motor skills, hunting the living, etc. Build those into your calculations.
- How will you get there? It's easy to say you might go somewhere remote, but you're going to have to get there and bring enough supplies to make it viable for a while.
