I have heard a lot about the end of the world in 2012 lately and i was wondering if anyone actually believes in it, personally if they hadn't made a movie about it i would not have heard about it at all and i think thats true with 99% of people.

I had an interesting thought a while ago. The premise of a zombie is that it is undead -- or being biologically dead, but behaving physically as a living organism. My thought was that because the "zombies" in 28 days/weeks fulfilled many of the characteristics of life, and that it is revealed in the end of 28 weeks that zombiism may be reversable, unlike death, then they may not be zombies after all. For example, they are supposed to starve to death after 5 weeks, which implies that they require food and water for something. Food in normal humans is used for cell regeneration, so the 28 days zombies would need to heal, grow, and develop. Tell me what you think.

I really enjoyed reading what I thought was an informative book by Max Brooks but I looked at the back of the cover and in small print it said HUMOR. Nothing against the book but is Max Brooks really giving us reliable information?

Just wondering how many folks have seen and liked this little Canadian film. I actually liked it. New twist on zombie etiology. It is available on Netflix's watch now. What do you think?

Greetings all,
I was up late last night and caught this flick on cable. I had heard it came out a couple years back but there wasn't much hype so I never saw it. It's another unofficial remake. It had Sid Haig in a fairly prominent role, and I immensely enjoyed him as Captain Spalding in Rob Zombie's films. It was all too bad though, because the movie is absolute shit. The acting is atrocious, very labored and inexperienced. The filming and atmosphere is equally bad, the cinematographer has obviously NO experience. The zombies are even worse, they look like they have huge latex Halloween masks on and are entirely unconvincing. The plot takes a turn near the end that just makes it all too stupid to finish watching. Avoid it. It makes Tom Savini's 1990 remake look like academy-award material. I'd even go as far to say that it is about on-par with Children of the Living Dead. It was that bad. If you want that uncomfortable eerie feeling you get from Romero and Fulci movies, then you're better off going farther back into the archive for something like Shockwave.

I've seen zombies show up in the most unexpected places in TV movies and games. I think its great that zombies are so terrifying and funny that they can be added to almost anything. Like I was watching SpongeBob Squarepants with my nephew and when the snail bit someone they thought that they turned into a zombie. So the whole town has gone crazy thinking that there are zombies everywhere.
Another place was Halo (dated whatever lol) when the flood showed up. I shouted "WTF!? Zombies on some random space platform?!?" But it was awesome! Where have you seen zombies show up that seemed odd?

the newest book in the Inheritence Cycle by Christopher Paolini came out, and in it there are Sentient soldiers who "feel no pain" They "laugh" incessently, are immune to all injuries but "head wounds", and will never "give up", "take prisoners", or "show mercy". The quotarions show what i think was an approximation of zombies in his book. Check it out.
