Zombie Survival Wiki T-Shirt Contest
This page is a contest I'm starting. It will be for a t-shirt design or designs. I don't know who'll print them or
anything, but I'll figure all that out if the community can come up with some designs. The only rule is to make
sure it'll look good on a t-shirt, hoodie, jacket, etc...

About the Logo: After seeing Ironhand's logo, and hearing some of his feedback, I threw this together in photoshop. It keeps the simplicity of the biohazard sign, but makes it more unique by changingthe color of the inner ring. I went ahead and added the ZSDW text to the bottom in a font I saw appropriate. The font is called "Capture it" and free for commercial use, for anyone who would like to know.

About the logo:
This isn't anything special and a very simple idea, but I think the Biohazard emblem makes for a great logo by itself for ZSDW. We could ADD an agreed on moto to it and ZSDW too, but overall this emblem is good for patches to go on gear and other stuff like T-shirts and such. Colors can be altered as we want.
So I submit the first part of the "logo" - the Biohazard emblem - with the ZSDW motto to still be discussed and added to it. It's a nice clean and simple emblem to replicate on merchandise. Also, there shouldn't be any legal issues since it's an international symbol and not copyrighted.

I like either of Benrow77's designs above, but with something else on the back:
I couldn't find the exact image that Benrow77 used, so I mocked up one of my own in PhotoShop.
Another idea might be to add our ZSDW user name (and avatar if applicable) to the sleeve.

I have played many zombie games and seen many zombie movies, it is possible even if everyone did look good on Z-day a few of us maybe zombies who already have the t-shirt so maybe there should be other acessories for all survivors

There are a lot of great designs shown here, but I like Swingcat's the best. I like the amusing irony that it looks like the NBA logo as if we've got "zombie fightin' league" here. As an artist myself, I know that it can be tricky to come up with designs that capture the energy, meaning and humor (if appropriate) of the corresponding message or idea. I've got some of my artwork on display and for sale over at zazzle and I am often in awe of some of the great design by other artists. Your designs above are generally very creative. Good work.

With respect to Ironhand, the problem with the biohazard logo by itself is that it's TOO common. There are already a number of clothing items available sporting this symbol, none of them having anything to do with the ZSDW.
I think that the logo should be something that uniquely identifies the ZDSW. Now there's no reason why such a logo couldn't include a biohazard symbol, just not by itself. |
