Don-diego NO FUELED VEHICLES ALLOWED ON LAND (page: 1 2) 21 Sep 25 2009, 1:26 AM EDT by StrykerPez

If you plan to travel to a safe place in a car on motorbike you're probably gonna end up running out of fuel a quarter of the way there, to many people will try to exit the city the fastest way they can the road's will be so block it'll take hours to get anywhere and in those hours every zombie out's gonna catch up to them, then they'd get owned. most 4X4's aren't made offroad factory standard and you'll end up breaking down cross country, the noise of the motor's going to attract more zombies and lead them stumbling in your direction for miles until they find you or someone else, all though you could keep a push bike in the back and when there's no heading over a route you can walk over with your bike and ride off, a bmx is a better choice then a mountain bike because they're way more easy to fix and the chain doesn't fall off nearly as much, you can also tighten your chain whenever you want instead of tooling around with all that gear nonsense, i'd wanna make a stop off at an abandoned police cruiser and see if i could salvage any weapons or ammo though, i reckon your best bet's to get to a dock and find the next yacht, stock up on raided supplys and leave one of your mates there to guard the boat, once you've got enough food to last you and maybe a couple fishing rods, find a map of the world and make it to the next island that's a suitable distance from land, other wise zombie's would just float up to you and your base and start owning if there's enough of them

Haveabadday Don't believe in the "Scythe" theory 14 Jul 17 2008, 3:10 PM EDT by Lamnont

Given a fully automatic rifle/ turret/whatnot and an upcoming group of zombies the first guess would to aim for the head and mow down the whole group with the bullets just going in one head after another, right?
Well if we know that zombies were once humans, and humans are all different heights, then some zombies would just crawl across to you.
Thus disproving the Scythe theory with the help of max brooks and the ultimate zombie survival guide.

ThePragmaticSlayer Wrist Locks 0 May 12 2008, 12:03 AM EDT by ThePragmaticSlayer

As a lifeguard we had to take defense classes to escape holds and locks in case a panicked victim (not too dissimilar to a zombie) tries to attack you while you're rescuing the person in question. Granted you wont be rescuing the zeds, but breaking a wrist grab is essential if you want to get out of a sticky situation. Twist your arm to put force at the gap between the thumb and index finger. Use this technique like a fulcrum so that your attacker looses its grip on your arm. This will work every time. It doesn't rely on nerve points. Its physics plain and simple so it will work on a zombie.
