Zombies in your School

Alright, so since nobody is adding anything I guess I'll help out.

If I were in school and all of a sudden we went into a "Phase One Lockdown" many of my peers and I would probably think it's just another drill, I'm sure many other schools have lockdown drills to protect them from suspicious people, chemical spills, or just a crazy student threatening a teacher because he got a F on his paper...but I bet 98% of the people in the school have never even thought about a zombie coming into the school... but that's why we are here to educate ourselves on what to do! (even know there's a slight chance this will happen)
Here's a little "list" that I put together on what to do:
*** Most likely you will probably know that something is going on because a normal drill won't last over a few minutes, So here's what to do in a "lockdown" position.
- I (including you) should not panic, if your teacher doesn't have short term memory lose then most likely your door will be locked. The doors in "newer" schools are fairly protecting, meaning good locks, strong frames, reinforced glass, Etc.
- You should react by calming people down and already start to look around for objects for a offensive side/defensive postition.
- If you don't have the skinny windows that we have in our school you could possibly break a window with a chair and climb out (if your not on the second floor AND if there's not zombies surrounding the school)
- If worst comes to worst and you do have to fight back you could move the teachers desk and start barricading the door.
- Some good weapons are chair legs, If you have the squeaky chairs that are loose from kids sitting on them most likely you could try to bend a leg off and use it as a bat/metal pole. Just use the resources around you, (think practical) Sorry guys no flamethrowers or cocktail bombs around.
- Scissors will work good at close range, but I don't recommend it.
- If your extremely lucky a lot of teachers have "Paper Cutters" which are like plastic boards with a grid of it with a "machete like" blade to cut through large papers at an angle, if I am not mistaken I think that the blade is removable due to sharpening. Then you're in luck lol.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***Escaping***
- Like I said above, your most likely stuck in a classroom.
- The only possible ways are through a window which MOST classrooms have.
- Be smart, to avoid injuries use a chair to break the window!!
- If your on the first floor then most likely you can just run and find your car if your in high school and drive away.
- Since I live like right near my high school I'll just run home and grab my trusty .22LR lol.
- If your on the second floor, you might have a problem, depending on your structure of your building your building might have like frames for windows that stick out and stuff, just step along those and climb down. This could be dangerous though. -GarrettZhunter

*****Alright its late and I start getting really tired I'll definitely finish this tomorrow or another day, your free to add, but PLEASE keep this neat and in my format, I would appreciate it.********* -GarrettZhunter

IFB254-Well, the first thing to do is organize students who are as "crazy" as you, make a plan, then convince the faculty that what is happening is the truth. It would help to keep any delinquents or troublemakers out of this group. It would also be advised to disable any teachers who are acting irrationally. Gather any weapons in the school, pipes, knives, baseball bats, arrows, and find an easy way to contact authorities and parents.

My school, for example, is just one square. That's it. There are also stairs leading straight from the cafeteria to the second floor, so there are only four doors to block off.

Comonsense- I think the best thing to do is if there is a drill it will probably be a lock down, we will be safe temporarily, remember look or entrances and exits, potential items that can be used and always be ready in case of anything. Also if there is a building you know has a higher scope than other buildings, try to reach it, if you can good, if you can't either get to your car and get out of there or try to get to higher ground where "they" can't get you

-open air schools have roofs that aren't very easy to get up on (unless you have a ladder) its it preferred "high" ground i was talking about, remember
-closed air school (most of them) try to move into a classroom that you know has door to another facility so you can move like so, in a lock-down situation most doors will be closed so it is safe to maneuver, just be careful. Also if it is a multi complex facility try to reach high ground and remember to close all doors behind you. If necessary break a window and jump out or find a safer way outside.
safety/survival is critical in any situation whether it be a fire or some other harmful event.
this is all theoretical (i take no responsibility for you doing this) -Comonsense

this is a good subject, some schools can serve as a very defensible hideout, where others can be a deathtrap. I don't go to high school anymore, but I am in college presently. At least in the short run I'd feel safe in my school, it has a construction class with tools and a chemistry class. these could be used as possible sources of weapons. since the school has no dorm and I live within walking distance of it, I would probably go home at the first sign of such a threat, unless the school is already surrounded. If it needed to be my school is easily defendable.
