When I was doodleing this one I forgot to put the two pieces going from front to back over the hood and top of the van, which would have wrapped around the back.

Welding support steel to the frame then running it up the side and over the roof to the other side makes a cage of metal suitable to attach expanded metal window armor to this tubular steel armored war horse lol. Any way thats one idea, any one who can cut with a torch, weld, and bend pipe can create this.

When welding any thing remember, the steel isn't weak the welds always break first, with that in mind remember to anchor your armor to the body of the vehicle to avoid vibration in it during road travel. remeber the best way to do this is to slot the anchor points and double nut the bolts in the slots. this will allow for body play inside the steel cage and keep from ripping your anchors out. To attach the expanded metal to cover the windows make sure you have supports running across the windows so some one (zed) couldn't push the EM towards the glass and shatter it. EM is extremely hard to weld onto any kind of hard steel, so I wouldn't bother, just screw it in with 1 sheet metal screw per 8 inches (bet you couldn't stomp it out if you laid it on the ground) have fun
