First Annual ZSDW Meetup?

Go to the Facebook group page and "Like" it for more raw footage of a few well-known ZSDW members in action. PS: Don't hate; this wasn't a planned event. It was pretty much Jahadaz saying, "Gonna be in your neck of the woods tomorrow... Margaritas?" Who could turn that down? Besides, there are only two or three other people on the site who'd have actually made the trip down here to visit anyway. We'd have sent invitations if we had a little more heads-up. Maybe next time?? 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

I didn't appreciate Jahadaz's racist assumption that just because I'm Mexican I would have tequila and margarita mix at my house. We did drink a lot of margaritas though.

"I know I get that all the time! Just because I'm Irish people assume I have whiskey in my jar... OK so I do. But I keep water in my canteen... OK that's whiskey too... The whole thing was a lot of fun. Mike (Jahadaz) is awesome, and lots of fun to hang out with. Totally solid guy, can hold his booze and brews like a champ and has a great sense of humor. It's kind of a shame sh!t didn't hit the fan while he was here, because he's definitely a valuable asset to any group fortunate enough to have him on it.If folks are serious about it, and I mean SERIOUS about it, I think we might be able to put something together in the future. I'd like to get a chance to shake hands and drink beers with a few other ZSDW folks. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Votes are counterproductive to an actual meet-up. The host, whomever that is, gets to pick the place, makes the rules and chooses the activities. That's just how it works. Otherwise, meet-ups just don't happen because, as Jahadaz has pointed out to me, they turn into some sort of monster festival that can't actually be run.Think of a real "first meetup" as a BBQ - everyone is welcome to bring a side dish but the main course is provided by the host. The host makes the rules. In fact, a first meetup would likely be very similar to a BBQ anyway - folks hanging out, shooting the sh!t. To expect more is unreasonable. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
