Originally the gun had feed issues, which i can testify to, I own the original model. However Henry is supposed to have fixed this issue.

The AR7 was never used by the US military as a survival rifle or anything else. It was sort of based on the AR5 which was a bolt action .22 hornet rifle that stored inside it's stock. The AR5 I think saw very limited use as a piolt survival armArmolite originialy made them and then Charter Arms and then Henry... I have an older Charter Arms and while I have read of them having problems mine is pretty reliable and for a design like this accurate. I shoot high powered ammo out of it and after trying various bullets I found it really likes round tip ones the best...With a .22 rifle like this if you are having problems always try different ammo as often they prefer one over another. These rifles magazines are supposed to be kind of fragil with a feed ramp built into them but never a problem with mine Do you find this valuable? |

I had to put a bit of a chamfer on my chamber to help rounds slide in
