- I like the idea of something explosive at each corner of the yard. Say, the small propane tanks? (The small green ones)
- Not to hard to rig up some sort of trip wire around your property. Specifically to trip thoughtless zombies running full speed at you. 550 at knee level ought to do it.
- Something to let you know they are coming. (Hobo alarm system) Empty cans with a few pebbles in them. Put them on the above mentioned 550.

Edit*- The tanks are to shoot at. Don't go leaving rigged explosives lying around your yard for kids to find. "

It would be a lot faster than doing up your whole house.

"Im with the fortify the whole house. That way you have breathing room and you have multiple entrances so you can leave to go out and get supplies, or you know run.

I've already got sand bags on stand by (just need sand obviously) and I've already found the closest sand/rock distrubuter and they are only 2 miles away. I have a ford expedition for hauling them or if need be bugging out in.

I make it a common practice that my vehicles never have anything less than 3/4 tank of gas. Yes I make a lot of trips to the gas station but I'm always prepared.

I will be buying my wood and generators from home depot here in the next couple of months. I freaking love home depot!
