  • “To Do” list abuse. Very true. Let's keep the to-do list a little more organised and serious in future. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Andering J Reddson.

    "You're going to have to converty that to REAL measurments to get it entered.
    Proper fornat: XYZ inches (5mm) about ABC inches (25-30mm)."
    soz lol just giving rough ideas... well 1ft = 12 inches soo... ill try and fix it up

    72 inch hollow steel pipe, 5mm thick.
    Weight of pipe and fittings 4kg
    Weight of concrete not sure gotta work that out

    diameter of pipe is 30mm or radius is 15mm.... 15mm minus 5mm thickness
    Volume of a cylinder= Area of base times height

    (this part is working out base) (pie X Radius squared)
    15-5 =10mm.......
    10 squared times pie
    10 squared is 100
    100 times 3.1415 (pie)
    314.15mm

    (this part is working out the actual volume it would consume)
    V=A x H........( volume = area times height)
    area = 314.15
    height = ( 300mm for every 1 foot) ( 300 times 12 = 3600mm) 3600mm
    soo 314.15 times 3600 = 1130940mm cubed

    anyone know how much 1130940mm cubed on concrete weighs :P

    giving a number im just making up off the top of my head lets just say 100mm cubed concrete weights 2grams

    so this working it out equals 1130940 divided by 100 = 11309.4
    so then 11309.4 times by 2 (this being grams, if you find a different weight per 100mm cubed concrete [ 1cm cubed] put this into the formula and just fix it up then and post it thnx)
    11309.4 times 2 = 22618.8 grams
    22618.8 grams = 22.6kg

    now the all up weight is just 22.6 plus 4kg

    So know we know the height in inches ( thnx Andering J REDDSON :p ) which is 72 inches being 6ft
    And the all up weight which is = 26.6kg

    So this weapon is 72 inches (6ft) and weights 26.6kg ( 58.52 pounds) 1kg equals roughly 2.2 pounds

    REMEMBER I JUST MADE UP THAT NUMBER FOR THE WEIGHT OF 1CM CUBED OF CEMENT... CAN SUM1 PLZ FIND OUT HOW MUCH THAT WEIGHS OR 1130940MM OF CONCRETE WHICH MIGHT BE EASIER... THNX

  • What about a fire poker? Andering_J_REDDSON Pretty much sums it up.

    I would not go into the field with nothing but the fireplace poker but, Its sure as hell better than tooth and nail. Given poker or nothing Ill take the poker any day. It may help you live long enough to find a better weapon.

  • Zombie Squad.
    "No his name wasn't DevilNuts they said it was Andy or something that started with an A maybe it was Alex. Either way nobody has banned me yet for not agreeing with a mod. Quite the opposite the mods here seem pretty cool as long as you don't make too big an ass of yourself. "
    Oh, Andering J Reddson? Oddly enough, I'm not surprised that he's made our site look terrible to the whole world... He wasn't all bad, but boy did he bite the big one hard...

    Anyways, I'm glad you signed up here Game_Face. It's nice to get a perspective of our site from someone who's been a member of a different community, though I'm almost offended by ZS's claim that we're a zombie survival pre-school (and I bet I know who said that...) - however, as I'm sure you're aware, some of us here are pretty serious survivalists and zombie movie buffs! And, we have MajorDamage!

  • You are Zed bait: i can't believe that anyone would actually expect to just hide out while the problem went away.

    eradication is the only way.
    once i had a safe base of operation, my next task is DEFINITELY to keep eliminating the threat. regular patrols, organized search and destroy parties, LOTS of communication.

    otherwise we're just waiting for the inevitable.

    one question - lots of people seem to be secure in the idea of a .22 rimfire for head shots, at least out to 50 yards. can any of you guys solidly confirm the plausibility here? i've heard of plenty using .22LR for coyotes, slaughtering pigs, and things like that. plenty more still say that the .22 has been used for sniping. i think they may actually mean the .223 ... but if a .22LR rimfire would do the job, that'd be a great, cheap elimination tool. what do you guys think?

    if one only had a .22 rimfire rifle, /could/ it actually do the job, if only head shots are concerned? daveball? reddson? jack? you guys seem to have the most informed responses here, so i value your input.

  • Raid locations no-one would expect! Wow, i found somethig Andering J REDDSON overlooked! Anyway, new location: Universities!! (groan)

    hit up the campus for advanced learning material, even a professor. Cemistry lab (self explaitory, be sure you know what your doing though). Cafes. Generators. The dorms will have all kinds of stuff (colledge kids). Leaving many blancks, but the multi building campus may prove a good defensive postition (seal the low entrance and if the buildings are close enough, build bridges for structure to structure). Plus (you'll hate this REDDSON), you might find those segways! Totally purposeless, but i had to bring them up.

  • Post your answers here! You bring up good points Andering J REDDSON. I thought about the mother/child infection thing, but never to the extent that leaving her would just bring another two zombies we would have to take care of. later. Having a child born in a zombie world will bring up morale and then they can use them to breed the perfect soldier.

  • Mistakes to my understanding the only difference on the civie model is that the trigger guard is rounded instead of squared off, and that it has a much smaller trigger guard, the ammo as mentioned above is also a softer hollow point. its still a good gun, its just as availble as other models.

    Andering is correct CA law does not allow rifles or shotguns with pistol grips or folding stocks, which is why most assult weapons have a CA legal model.

  • Where to buy a B.O.B? I have an idea that combines the tactical vest idea and Andering J. Reddson's idea of building it yourself. First, buy a stripped-down MOLLE vest, with no pockets (try cheaper than dirt. I think they're around $20. Then, just buy whatever pockets you want. Just google "MOLLE pouches"; there are thousands of different ones. After you buy the ones you want, put them on the vest in the configuration you want. And, if you want to, buy a MOLLE backpack and do the same. And, there ya go: you have a customized vest (and possibly a backpack)that you can change out any time you want.

    Just throwing an idea out there. I don't really have a concept made up for implementation though.

  • Drugs?! I've heard about some places, even here in germany the US Air Force still has stored some at the German Air Base Büchel (the German Luftwaffe practises their use alongside the USAF, i got my personal opinion to that but okay, let them do their mass extinction war games). But the point is, the primary objective on Z-Day is to survive and to help the human race surviving. And with the use WMD, it could (doesn't have to) easily happen that we'll finish what zack started, the mass extinction of the human race. Don't get me wrong I am not some kind of tree hugger or something like that, but I do know humanity won't survive on this blue marble, if the ecosystem is damaged beyond repair.

    So I would say, stick to the plan, leave the nukes in their silos and shelters, implement some kind of redeker plan and find some other strategies to wipe Zack off this planet.

    Andering_J_REDDSON: I wouldn't even approve the measure of limited nuclear strikes, the risk of getting yourself into a fallout is too big. And what about Zacks wandering through ground zero after the strike, I don't think they'll be affected by radiation but they will spread the radiation, or even worse mutate or shit like this. In the end the whole idea of nuking places is not that good, how you wanna deliver the payload? If you've found an ICBM, it's more easy but if you've just found B-61 free-fall bomb, without a plane nearly impossible and I don't think you could still ask UPS or FedEx to do the task ;D
