Ultimate Newbie Guide - Admin Suggestion
I apologize if this is not thread worthy, but I would like to suggest that a link to Maricely's Ultimate Newbie Guide:
http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide
be included on the front page of the ZSDW. Such a link should be prominent and near the top of the page so that newcomers are less likely to overlook it in their mad rush to dive into the site's wonderful zombie awesomeness. LOL

advice
Probably not. Unless you use an old-school nightstick. Modern day nightsticks are meant to emphasize one hit knockout, not a lethal strike.
Welcome to the site By the way. Please read Maricely's newbie guide before posting anything else.

Survivle
Welcome to the ZSDW. The general idea on this site seems to be (as you implied) that its purpose is to prepare people for any kind of disaster; whether this disaster be a Zombie Apocalypse or a hurricane. That said, the site is built around Zombies (as the name implies) and they will thus be involved in and/or the center of many discussions on the site.
On a side note, I strongly suggest you check out the newbie guide to the ZSDW as well as the Code of Conduct if you have not done so already.
Code of Conduct: http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/Code+of+Conduct
Newbie's guides: http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/A+Newbie%27s+Guide+To+The+ZSDW
Welcome and enjoy the site.

Where are your plans?
I've noticed a number of new members here posting what some of us consider redundant threads. Some of them are enough to get locked before 10 replies are even made. While some offer good advice, others come off as pretty snotty, especially to some of the senior members here ( myself not included, since I've only been on since this past fall.)
Many of these new members try to proclaim their knowledge like some majestic seer of all upon the already converted. While I notice that some try to say that it's to benefit those with lesser knowledge; it really comes off as trying too much to look "cool" to the more experienced members.
They seem to focus mostly on weaponry, and more specifically firearms. I'm not really against this at all, but the main focus of this site is survival. When I look at the profiles of these new members, I see absolutely no effort put in to making plans. So this begs me to ask:
Where are your plans?
It's great that you want to start making threads, but my advice is to start one about your Z-day plans. It serves as an introduction to who you are, and most of us are likely to help you and engage in constructive criticisms.
Also, please read the newbie guide: http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide
It really helps and I read it to help with the plans I made.

Moving on...
No you cant hunt with I knife however you can use a knife to make spears, snares, bows, traps and shelter (just to name a few things).
Have a look at some bush craft videos on youtube; learn how to make the best of what you have.

My grammar

Hi I'm new here.
Welcome to the site, man. It's good to meet you.
If you're new, I'd suggest reading the following pages: http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Panic http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Ultimate+Newbie+Guide http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Survival+Guide http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/School+Will+Kill+You They'll provide a lot of good ideas.
Although, it should be known that I don't believe in zombies; I'm just here to goof around XD
Hopefully you'll stick around and have some fun with us.
