Melee Weapon Nomination Thread 2012.
Hola everyone! The time has come again for the annual ZSDW Weapon Election! On this thread, you can nominate the melee weapon you think is the best choice for when the SHTF.
A few rules:
1. You must provide reasons as to why you think so. Simply saying "Because I said so" isn't good enough.
2. The weapon must be reasonable available to the public.

My nomination is the same as last year: a hammer. It's light, compact, more than powerful enough to do the job, cheap, and has tons of uses as a tool.

Handgun Nomination Thread 2012

2. The handgun must be reasonably available to the public. Let's try to keep the prices under 2K.
3. For designs that are extremely prolific, just nominate it under a series. E.G. Instead of nominating "Glock 34" or "Kimber Super Carry Pro", just go with Glock series or 1911 series.

For my nomination, I will nominate the S&W L-frame series of revolvers (581, 586, 681, 686, etc.) It combines the comfortable grip of the K-frame with the sturdiness of the N-frame, and IMO is a very nice weapon. Accurate, powerful, fires common ammo, and is extremely reliable.

So, I'm not sure how many of you have been keeping up to date on this years E3, but I thought i'd let you all know of a new and (in my opinion) sensational zombie game that was revealed yesterday by Ubisoft and then expanded upon by Nintendo.

OMG!!! There was some news article I read and from what I read... 2012 MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN!!! Now, I am still a bit skeptical, but you have to be prepared just in case. What do you think?

Lets give ourselves a deadline-teens edition
To all those teens out there who don't have BOB, BOL, or even just a weapon thats NOT a base ball bat, do you think that you can get enough stuff together by say (just a deadline, putting a little pressure) december 21, 2012? To last a week? A month? Infinity(sustanable, without raiding)?
edit: wrong date. 2112 is a century to late.
I know that I probably won't. Most I have is a bow that my sister owns, and a base ball bat. I got enough food to last a few days(feeding my family of seven, so if they die/ get infected, i can last much longer)
Looking for minors, not adults who can/have already bought all the things they need.

Why I fear 2012(read before locking).
So, we all know that 2012 is a load of crap, but has anyone considered that all of the believers and the panic they cause could be a threat? We here at the ZSDW always encourage preparation for the panic that z-day will spread, so what about 2012?
Tell me what you think.
P.S. the movie 2012 was terrible. I hate the man who dared to direct that piece of crap.

Anybody believe in 2012?
I have heard a lot about the end of the world in 2012 lately and i was wondering if anyone actually believes in it, personally if they hadn't made a movie about it i would not have heard about it at all and i think thats true with 99% of people.
