I believe that rocks and rubble should be combined, and unarmed should be moved to really bad options. On an unrelated note, the section for Hooligan tools was very well written.

Suggestions?
Well, I live in Australia and am only a young girl, and, therefore, do not have any access to firearms. I do however, live near a police station, have multiple knives in the kitchen, enough golf-clubs to outfit everybody in a tournament, rolling pins, a longbow, two or three metal lunchboxes, and a cat. I was wondering, do any of you have any suggestions for any other household objects I can use as weapons? Please help, I really don't want to be caught defenceless in the Zompocalypse.

PROBLEM.
with most weaponry you need to focus on several key things.
1. how long is it.
the length of the weapon reduces the users ability to wield it affectively.
2. weight.
The weight of it can and will wear down the user unless you have conditioned your body to prolonged use.
3. strength of the object, everything is subject to damage over time and quality should never be overlooked versus quantity.
4. speciality.
Swords, spears, axes in fact nearly every weapon requires skill, joe six pack isn't going to know how to wield a katana or spear as soon as he picks it up so, if you don't know how to sue it properly, simply don't pick it up.
5. Hang ups.
Will my weapon get caught up in the object its hit, things again like Axes, bill hooks, pikes, spears,chain saws rakes anything with a pole of spikes will get caught up in what they hit, knights knew it, gardeners know it and so should you, only consider a spear or anything similar unless you have trained with it.
also ammunition and fuel comes into play when you consider firearms and things like chain saws, you best bet is and always will be a stout medium length machete, simply because they are not to heavy, are a good cleaving weapon and WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF AMMO OR FUEL

An expert's stats and opinion on weapons
I may be only 15, but I know a lot about anti-zombie weaponry. Every Saturday I will post a melee weapon and anyone who reads this thread can place what they believe are the pros and cons of that weapon.

My Melee Weapons Kick
I am going through a phase of total melee obsession with an improvised weapons preference, and I thought I'd bring in a general discussion of the topic here.
I recently checked out my shovel and hatchet while doing yard work and found the shovel to be easy to use, long enough, and and pretty tough, though breakage is possible. Also, shovels can be sharpened and used as bladed and blunt As for the ax, mine is broken, but I have experience with the ax from a young age, and I feel I could use it if I had to, but it is a bit heavy if you're not swinging straight down. The hatchet is small but effective. I prefer wooden handles. Mine doesn't have much of a blade, though. I will say more later...

Weapon improvement
I would suggesto improve standard clubs with e.g. long nails. A baseball bat or just a broom stick become much more effective if a couple of long nails or screws are added to the business side. Adding the effect of a war hammer or horseman's pick with increased penetrating power to the skull, easier removal and less force requirements would make this the weapon of choice against single zombies.

Hachets...
I just bought a Hachet from home depot for about 20$. My only problem is it is pretty dull, i know its made for chopping wood...but if i sharpen it up, i could easily severe a head. Any thoughts?

rapier or small sword???
Wouldn't a rapier or a thin sword be very usefull? It's light wight, can poke thruogh the brain at arms lenght and is easy to handle. Such as cold steels small sword: http://www.coldsteel.com/smallsword.html

Katana & Torch
My uncle made this rig a few years back while working on restoring his car. He used a small oxy-acetelene torch that he made a harness for to carry it on his back while making several cuts on the body. I use katanas on a regular basis as my own training and decided to adopt a tactic from our friend Dr. Hugo Pecos and adopt a mentality that expands beyond just zombies. I'll lop off their nugget and roast them like a new school Van Helsing.

Concerning the 12-gauge powerheads...
I have no experience with these, but would it be possible to rig one of these up to serve as an arrowhead? If fired from a bow or crossbow?
It wouldn't be as effective as an actual firearm, but if you somehow had ammo for which you had no compatible firearm (the firearm having been lost or broken, maybe)

Karate
Speaking from experience, Karate is indeed a useful martial art to learn. I've spent 5 years learning it and I 've noticed that my fighting style is getting better. If you're in Malaysia, learn Kyokushin karate as it is better than its rival Koshinki Because koshinki focuses on fighting with protection whereres Kyokushin fights with none, except for the odd groin guard. Hope you find this useful!

Nails Or Nuts?
I plan on making a nice zed killing weapon from an aluminum bat and soldering either nails or nuts on to it. I'm leaning more towards nuts tahn nails because im afraid the nails would bend or get stuck. What do you think would be better. (and before i get all the people saying tis going to be too heavy, let me just say that yes i know it will be heavy but im sure i can deal with it)
