Give your congratulations to the next admin on the ZSDW and our brand new Commander-in-Chief:
Timberrattler!
He's been with us since 2009, and this promotion is long overdue.
Following the retirement of LJ and his many years of great service at the ZSDW I can think of no-one better suited to replacing him.
Timberrattler will be leading the ZSDW into 2013! I'm certain that only great things can come of this!

You're Just a Liability
We all try to play to our strengths in our planning and professional lives and shore up our weaknesses.
However weakness is always going to be around in one form or another.
So give us a situation where you would be almost rubbish in. An occupier of space.
Focus on your faults boys and girls for a moment at least. Let's hear what you ain't hot **** at.
My personal liability is that if I am very much antisocial, Give me a buffer and I'll dissect their heads down to nothing but in person? Nope. Hate it. The group dynamic thing is something I suck at working with. It's easier to just shut down and go on autopilot if getting away isn't possible.
Ask me to work a room on the fly and I'll most likely crash and burn.

What do YOU want to come across?
People, we've all seen it before. A new user gets on, and talks about how they're going to come across “machine-guns”, or Military vehicles, that aren't even legal (Or affordable) to anyone other than Uncle Sam himself. That, or of course, the ones who plan on coming across a fully stocked store.
We're quick to point out that it's unreal, and that they should join our legion of serious folk.
How about we say goodbye to serious, within the confines of this thread (Or in general, don't let ME stop you.) and have a bit of fun.
So...What do YOU want to come across? M60's? Tanks? Fully stocked wal-marts? A twinky factory? Hell, take 'em all.
Post below, what you want to come across post Z-Day, and if you will, also post why you picked what you did. Feel free to answer seriously if you wish, just don't bash other users for a lack of seriousness.

This is what i would do.

I Would go to a DVD Shop, Get all the Booze, Weed and Junk Food I could find, and Drink, Smoke and Eat in front of the TV until I die.

I wouldn't mind being the last man on earth as long as there were at least one female also. I noticed that some of you only focus on other guys ( I'M JUST SAYING lol) ?
The Female of our species is a highly cunning, intelligent, and can be aggressive, and innovative.
What would you live for if there was no way to pass on you genetic seed. Life just to be here is meaning less !!

Last Man on Earth
a good example of this is i am legend. im not for sure what id do if i was the last man on earth, most likely id always look for others no matter how bad it looked. it seems that people go crazy if they cant talk to people, in some movie a guy starts talking to a soccer ball when he lands up on a island (i cant remember that name of it).

AR-15?
Could you use a AR-15 instead of a .22, cause I don't wanna be changing my ammo between a .223 for a pistol and a .22 LR. Cause one time I'm gonna mess up and get blown up.

the Model 980S
looked into the Model 980S looks like a very decent rifle. Why not go with a Ruger 10/22? very light little carbine loads and loads of options for it and its semi-auto rather than a bolt action. Ive also seen clips upwards around 50 rounds though you cant get more than a 10 clip here in California. I played with a 10/22 last week and was impressed with it. never jammed after I put over 1.500 rounds through it and was just dead on every shot.

What you need to hunt zombies or to forage the surrounding area
This is for those who have an area to defend and a gathering supplies or are trying to expand their area.
So far the big thing you need to worry about is weight, think of how long your going to be away for shelter- should be no longer than a couple of days - supply yourself with two 1 quart canteens and Coast Guard survival food ( one it's small, and two its light). Next find a tactical vest- preferably not M.O.L.L.E.- outfit it with a holster, canteen pouches, a buttpack ( a small bag that connects to the belt of the harness) , and a medkit. All of this can be found at a Surplus Store. Once you have that, find an ALAS pack ( the pouches should be adequite for holding anything you find), a .22 caliber pistol, and a 12 gauge shotgun ( with a bandoleer sling, side-saddle, and preferably a collapsing stock- this will reduce the weight dramatically). find two bricks of the .22 ammo ( contain 550 rounds) , rifled slugs and shot shells for the shotgun.
*remember the fights are going to be close quarters and you want fire power incase your not the only party in the area*
Next gather a party of four others (that can hold their own), outfit them the same as you and head out, you should not be gone more than two days or be considered dead.
