My first possible "build"
Yes, to those who guessed, I am talking about a gun, a Norinco M305 to be precise, and no, you will not convince me to change that choice.
Now, I'm not so much building it from the ground up as much as I am customizing it to suit me. I have decided that I will most likely be looking into putting rails on the bottom, and sides, to support a light and foregrip. I will likely keep just the stock sights, however, I am open to suggestions.
This rifle is being built as it is for 3 reasons, 1- Most importantly to me, hunting. 2- Almost as important as hunting, home defence. 3- Fun, and keep in mind, I don't mind paying for the extra cost of the .308 round.
The primary purpose on creating this thread was to see folks oppinions on my decision, and if they have any suggestions.
Edit- Almost forgot, here is a link to the rifle. http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/default.asp?Pg=8&do=3&mcid=1&scid=12&pid=1754

Hope
I live somewhat close to Hope, and I just wanted to say, it isnt the best plan, being so close to Vancouver, with the populus of over 500,000 people. Plus surrounding towns, Port Coquitlam, and towns further north of Hope. Now, I would suggest a place further north, Like there is a lake called Williams Lake, which is also a town of 18,000 people, I know a few people from the cadet core there, and I would most likely go up there, Frozen in the winters and Beautiful summers. And hope, doesnt have much resources, like stores. But, in Williams Lake there isnt either, but lots of hunting, almost everyone hunts around there, Also, a pass up Williams lake, leads to Gavin lake, a Small camp for recreations that we used for Sea cadet training earlier this winter. One of the better places if your looking for the Rocky Mountain Protection.

News->Prepare, Create (DO IT NOW)
"At the first news of the zombie apocalypse, I will prepare my emergency survival kit, and advise others to do the same. I will also use this wiki to research improvised weaponry, and make enough to survive a lifetime"
Prepare your kit now, don't wait until they come to get your kit together, also if you want improvised weapons start making them now as well, you may not find supplies for anything after the panic

Countries most likely to survive Ranking
I realize that some of the threads discussing this topic do not include all factors that allows a country to survive a zombie apocalypes. People only consider gun stockpile, terran and military. The factors they left out are civilian experience with weaponry, population density, terran survival skills and effectiveness of government.
The most popular countries listed already are Russia, US, Britan, and Norway but Im not really sure about those countries except norway I would like a new page for the perhaps top 5 countries that can surive a zombie apocalypes with all factors. My canidates are Switzerland and Canada as the top ones 1.Switzerland - Terran are Alpine, Forest, Mountains and several bodies of water. Good since entrance for zombies are limited. All civilians including female are taught how to use a gun and every family owns 1 or more firearm. A good size military, 240,000 strong, to protect a small country. Country is full of shelters systems enough for the population. The land has a lot of wild game and is good for small farms. The country has many renewable energy sources planted all over. Government is governing a small 7 million people population which wont be hard work. Country has weapon and emergency supply stockpiles. 2. Canada - Large amount of rural area for surviving population to disperses into and slows down undead movement. Wilderness does include wild animals to hunt. Forest which can be used to build defence in rural area. Parts of the population are familiar with hunting which is firearm experience and survival skills. Cold winter which can freeze the undead and allows a few month of peace for the population. Cons include very small army to protect population and weapon stockpile is ranked average. Government effectiveness is questionable.

The Trek To the North
Hey all, this is a continuation of a long worked and slaved over thread:
http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/thread/3652884/SovietPrince%2FJPTank+plan?offset=880&maxResults=20
A great collaboration between me and a few other grand members. To those that were involved, thank you so much guys (and gals)
This thread, however, is created so that we can all carry on a new plan. It isn't really directed for my appeal or anything, as I've tossed the "go north" Idea(because I live in Florida and well.. go figure)
Anyway, for you guys that wanted to discuss heading north into Canada, and how you all can coordinate with each other, here ya go!
(btw I will help out, but just so you know I'll go for Montana before I meet up with you guys, because of the shear difficulty on my end..)

Martial Arts
Martial Arts WOULD work quite well against zombies, especially boxing, Muay Thai, and TKD.
People (especially military folk) say TKD is not a "combat sport". It is. Many "Military Folk" that have dropped by our TKD school have bee soundly defeated and often walk away bitter.
TKD, Boxing, and Muay Thai emphasize lots of smashing. Some martial arts that rely on nerve damge wouldn't work well against zombies because zombies have dead nerves.
I'm pretty sure that a flying back kick to a slightly moldy undead skull can do quite some damage.
