Law Enforcement in a Zpoc World
Laws exist to establish what a community accepts as normal or acceptable. Once a law is broken a punishment is meted out. The idea behind punishment is to have a deterrent against further infractions.
Come Zpoc how would we handle punishment for crimes? Would we dilute resources to have a prison. Would capitol punishment become more rampant? I am mindful of the excellent presentation on justice that Marsden gave us. How can we avoid corruption in our post Zpoc systems? What other deterrents can we use?
I realize that this could be considered a political topic (as are most things here beyond talk of BOBs) so lets not do any name calling and try to avoid ALL CAPS to emphasize words. I would hate to see anyone banned because of this thread.

Quarantine?
I've been thinking. What are the odds of the military managing to effectively quarantine an area? I mean, I know that they can enforce roadblocks and travel restrictions, but It's obvious that they can't pull a 25ft high wall out of their arse. How would they enforce the surrounding area such as forests / hills etc.. ?
