Master key?
WK
Did you ever run and log around a master key? I did on my dads Tavor and after a sprint it hurt my wrists.

Anybody ever had a Henry .22 lever action?
I am buying a lever .22 as soon as I sell the muzzleloader I have. Hopefully in the next few weeks. I have looked at the Henry, Browning, and Marlin. I have heard nothing but good things so far about all of them but the henry is considerably lower priced. Has anyone ever owned any of these and had any problems out of them?

Rifle Nomination Thread 2012.
Hola everyone! The time has come again for the annual ZSDW Weapon Election! On this thread, you can nominate the rifle you think is the best choice for when the SHTF.
A few rules: 1. You must provide reasons as to why you think so. Simply saying "Because I said so" isn't good enough. 2. The rifle must be reasonable available to the public. No 7.82 Lazzeroni Warbird boltguns. Let's try to keep prices under 2K. 3. Any design that has a large number of variants will just be grouped as a "series." E.G. instead of "Smith and Wesson M&P15" and "Bushmaster Carbon-15" being listed as different choices, they both would be grouped under "AR-15."
IMPORTANT! If anyone has any questions, I ask that you please read the Election page this thread is attached to. PM me with any additional questions. Thanks, and happy nominating!
For my nomination, I pick the same gun I did last year: the Winchester 1894 .30-30. It's light, handy, accurate, relatively hard-hitting, low-recoiling, and fires a common round.
Voting will commence on August 16th.
Nominations so far: Winchester 1894 Ruger 10/22 AR-15 SKS Ruger Gunsite Scout SCAR AK Marlin 336 Remington 700 SMLE Schmidt-Rubin Marlin 1894 M1 Garand Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Mosin Nagant Dragunov Beretta CX-4

Shotguns: Why they're not the best choice.
Shotguns: Used in probably every zombie movie to date. A gun that uses shells filled with pellets or a single bullet (Slug) to kill. It's a deadly weapon, no doubt about it. The spread is good to ensure at least one hit, and slugs are basically a guaranteed kill, zombie or human. Also, they're legal and ammo isn't at all hard to find, but unfortunately there's no perfect weapon. If you've ever fired a shotgun, you'll know one thing: They're LOUD. Loud enough to alert your position to every zombie around. Unless you're in an area that's not as overrun, I wouldn't suggest a shotgun. Opinions?
