Check it out, tell me what you think. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask, as this may remind me of notes that I need to add to the article.
Here's the address to their website. Check 'em out, especially if you've never heard about them and are in the market for a new IWB holster. Take a minute and browse around --- http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/ ---
Here's the address to their assemble-at-home "Stage 3" version of the same holster I reviewed. It is a complete unit, you just have to put it together yourself. No cutting, trimming, drilling or tapping required. There's a pretty large selection of handguns to pick from, also. --- http://oldfaithfulholsters.com/gun-holster-stage-3-forward-cant/ ---

This Old Gun
All you have to do to see the latest and greatest in new firearms these days is surf the internet. You can go to all the gun manufacturers websites and see whats new for 2011. Thing is that some of the old stand-bys, legendary actions and proven work-horses can be found at gun shows, pawn shops, estate auctions and the classifieds.
The great thing about those scraped up wooden stocks and gun barrels with the blueing worn off is that they are in-expensive and just begging for modification.
There is no better way to be introduced to beginner gunsmithing than to pick up one of those old stand-bys, grab the latest edition of Midway USA or Brownells and see what they have to turn your new old gun into something with your stamp on it.
Take that beat-up piece of history and make it your own.

Rural home defense
I'm wondering what you people would do if you were in my position during the apocalypse.
I live in a 98-year-old 2 story house with about 3 foot high wire fencing all around, I live about a mile and a half away from the nearest town (wich only has 843 people in it) I live on about 1 1/2 acres of land and the driveway could easily be blocked off with one of the many broken down junk cars in my grove, I am also a fan of instant ramen, so I have about 4 cases of it in my basement, along with quite a bit of canned food, I also have (don't ask me about the models, they're my parents) a shotgun, a rifle (but no ammo for it, the ammo is about 200 dollars a box), another .22 rifle, a shotgun, 2 pistols, and a revolver.
