  • a situational awareness tip i was reading this article i wrote again, and remembered something ive been wanting to add to it. I dont know why i didnt think to talk about scanners as a Situational Awareness tool. I remember about 10 years ago, me and my dad was listening to his scanner because there were tornado warnings/watches in the area and we were learning about tornados touching down and their direction before it was put on the local news alerts.

There is a link in the article to help you with scanner frequencies.

  • Un-spoken Colony Issue. I've never heard here about what to do with orphans. I can see there being a lot of them around with parents wanting to save the children over themselves. From your BOL to a full blown Colony, how best should the situation be handled?

  • School Bus Load of Trouble You are making your way by foot through the city early post SHTF. You hear a commotion coming from the next street over. Sneaking up around the cormer, you see a bus from the local summer camp being assaulted by a small group of Zeds that has a flat front tire. From what you can see inside, there are a bunch of kids inside of different ages and two older looking kids trying to keep them calm. You see that this noise has attracted the attention of a larger group of Zeds about 400m away down the street.

Would you try to save them or leave them. If you want to save them, how would you deal with such a large group being added to your plans?
