My Plan
Once it begins me and 5 of my usmc buddies who are currently staying with me plan to gather supplies from within and fortify our house. Standard outfit for the entire 6 man team 1 berreta 9mm SMI (standard military issue) and primary weapon depending on specialty mine personaly would be my remington tac semi auto 12 gauge 20 rd clip. our main focus would be steady supply of water, food, and first aid supplies because it would suck to be able to survive the zombies and die because of dehydration or malnutrition and infection. Leadership would be decided the same as it was when we were serving. Our watch would stay in the attic we would rotate 2 man teams one shooter one spoter. we would not engage until in danger. We would not bring in anyone else into our team unless they would be usefull. and we would all be under one code that is if someone is bitten, they are killed and we are all complient with this. after 6 to 12 months we would load up and move to my uncles farm house. it lies on 20 acres of flat feild. we would set up a fence line 300 yds from the forest. 10ft chain link fence. our water supply would be the 3 wells lying on the property. food would be canned food, livestock and crops that we grow.
My Team: Me - expert/military trained marksman, survival expert 1st Lt USMC Johnny - medic, fast on his feet, scavenger/ town runner. Cpl USMC Gabe - ex special forces, survival expert, expert marksman Sgt USMC Robby - fast on his feet, survival expert, scavenger/town runner Sgt USMC Brian - Heavy gunner, exploives expert, survival expert, driver if needed 2nd LT USMC Mike - Communications expert, survival expert, mechanic, expert marksman Sgt USMC
thats about it, we would make town runs when nessasary a 3 man team would be deployed. Leave recomendations please. As for our living situation now we are in a 5 bed room house in north georgia isolated from big cities with good amount of land.

ZSDW Draft
So me and Redcomrad got in a bit of a *** for tat about who would bribe who among the ZSDW community to join their "team". That got me thinking, "Who would I choose If I had the ability to?"
So going by what we know about the members here, who would you choose to be on your team?
Judge it how you want to. Personality, preparedness, weapons, loadout, survivability, comedic value, etc...
Take whoever you like, but you might be challanged to bribe the member to "sweetn the deal" if multiple people want the same member.
I know one of the many I would like to have is Zee-Man. I swear the man must be a genius with numbers and he always adds real world problem solving to any post I see him on.
Now I know this could disolve into some negativity here and sometimes people might get left out the first time you post, but I belive we can keep this civil. Think like a team leader or a coach here and enjoy ourselves.

Guiding Arrows and Dates
DO NOT use arrows to show the way! Arrows could lead to curiosity in potential raiders. Though following it could just as easily lead to their death, would you like to risk sending them towards a safehouse? If you are in an urban area or the sun or stars are covered by thick clouds, relying on the cardinal directions may be hard without compass. Instead, use simple forward, back, left, and right. Rather than using symbols for each, have location on your code stand for the direction. Also, make it relative to how the reader views it. For example, say you come across a marking on the corner of a four way street:
....Z D.L. ....S
L is your current location, D is your teammate's destination, Z leads to zombies, and S leads to a safehouse. Relative to the way you are facing when you read the code, the street behind you leads to S, to your left leads to D, and the street in front of you leads to zombies.
Also, don't forget to leave a date. It may come in handy if you come across it a code from two months ago. Things may have changed since then, or maybe you changed the code.

Working on Undead Resident Game.. need help! we are recruiting.. x)
Im making a 3D Game with 3 friends...
I need some help moddeling, making voices, finding textures for the game, i need someone to make some cool images for the game.. i will post in the website with the name of the game.. if anyone know's how to make a good trailer, don't forget to help to make the trailer better :)
FAQ: Platform: PC FPS or 3RD Person?: Third Person Shooter Singleplayer Gamemode: Freeroam + missions/events. Multiplayer?: We gonna try to make it. Gonna Have Multiplayer?: Yes.. we gonna try make an multiplayer system with some gamemodes.. like the gamemode "In memories of Nazi Zombies", for example, this gamemode will have maps from Call Of Duty: Nazi Zombies gamemode.. The game gonna sell something?: Maybe.. if the multiplayer section will be good, we gonna try to make some "special items" or "DLC's / Map Packs" and the players can also buy some $ for the game..
If the game gonna have things to pay, you will give it to the team?: Yea.. if we do not recieve much money i will use it to make the game better.. i can try to joint money to buy an .com website.. or also pay professionals to do something we can't do...
If this sell system will exist.. how amount the player recieve?: I don't know.. it depends.. if the game will be better, with more people to help, i think the game will have players who will pay for some items.. i think the maps will be 0.50€ (euro)... if the game will have a lot of people we gonna make the price higher.. its depends how the map..

Braille
Keep in mind that you will more than likely be tagging on gritty or uneven surfaces. Or surfaces that are exposed to the elements. A letter written in braille can easily look completely different if smeared a little or part is rubbed off. If this happens, you partner may very well be heading to an are filled with zombies instead of the safehouse because a little rain smeared the paint.

The Team and Plan
So everyone out there tell me whats your Z-Day plan and who is gonna be included in your group(must contain at least 4 people and 1 domestic animal) and where you are going.
Mine would be - Me, ten other friends 2 Pit-bulls, 2 German Shepherds, 2 Labs and 2 Bloodhounds would be in my group. then i would ransack the nearest airbase or car dealership and take 5-6 vans and steal any shotguns or snipers in any store and head to either Alaska or Area-51.

I think I'm going to need some opinions........
I'm now trying to ready my home for any type of zombie outbreak. I do believe that my location and resources suit me very well. The last problem is....who and should I get for my "team" of future survivors?
Well thats where you come in. I am going to give you the pro's, con's, and information about the people I am considering. I would like to get a list for camping at my house (the best possible place to stay) and a group for on the run. Well are the potential recruits, keep in mind that I am 15 and have taken consideration both the family and individuals of all of the people.
I will refrain from using full names, so only initials will be used. Thank you.
GC: My best friend, fellow zombie believer. We both devised our plan and he and I promised that we would always stick together when confronted with the living dead. (but i will still ask if it is a good idea or not) Pros: Thin, in shape, actually knows alot about zombies. Good with Stragety. Cons: Can't think of any except his 2 parents which aren't as in shape but could provide help if we dont go on the run.
JC: Friend for a long time Pros: He owns and knows alot about guns/knives. He can think quick on his feet and improv whenever necessary. Comedian and source of laughter/stress lifter Cons: average american not fat but not physically fit either. Parents, grandma, and younger sister, almost all have no advantages towards them. He can be a bit of a jerk whenever he finds it funny.
SR: Friend of three years Pros: He know a little about zombies, but in crunch time might fail. will abandon family due to the way they treat him. Cons: Slightly overweight. Probabily will abandon us whenever it benefits him. Continued on first reply due to charcter limit

Weaponry: Where can I get it?
Where can I get weapons, ammunition, etc.? Don't tell me to go to a military base or anything, maybe a shooting range would be reasonable. But how much should i carry, and how much is enough? The best i can probably get my hands on is a shotgun, maybe a few good handguns. Otherwise, i'm gonna have to stick with my knives. I live in California btw. If you have a solution, tell me how to resupply/

team checklist
This is a very well thought out and planned list. Take the information you see here and start checking your team out to find where you are lacking and see if you know anyone who can fill those deficits quickly instead of trying to learn yourself. For instance in group, I found that although many of us have small gardens, we didn't know much about large scale farming and crop rotation. So by adding one of my good friends, my team gains his knowledge of farming along with his knowledge of the outdoors (local flora and fauna, what is and isn't poisonous, etc).
Also try to find people who can fill multiple positions and don't have just one person for a vital role. If only one person in your group knows first aid and they get lost, killed, or turned zed... your team is SOL for anything larger than a small cut.

barricade versus escape route
in my mind, there are two ways to go in the event of the zombie apocalypse:
1. barricade yourself into an easily defended, confined space with limited resources. will allies rally to your flag? 2. run and gun from point to point. way more difficult to defend (or rest) in the longer term, but resources and opportunities are wide open. will you find a safe haven? my theory is that larger numbers of human allies make it easier to rotate into actively defensive and resting roles. teamwork, planning and intelligence being the operative human advantage. discuss please, there is no correct answer.
