  • Just an Idea I suppose in the case of an outbreak, about 10 000 people will be uninfected.
Nowadays, there are 7 billion humans, or 7 000 000 000 people. A lot of zeros, right?
So, what would be the benefit of making houses when you can occupy those already made?
And, how do you plan lift one of these containers? I-d like to know, in case I need it.

  • ZSDW Shooting Drills uploaded! I finally finished that document I'd been working on for a while. Compiled with a few common drills, some member-submitted drills and a lot of head scratching, here is the first version of the ZSDW Shooting Drills page. Click the attachment at the bottom of the page to download the lengthy sheet.

Hopefully, we can get some results, feedback and such posted here. If users could take their own pics, we'd be able to creature an illustrated document in future additions.

    EDIT: A typo, alas.

  • Survival plan: The Wayward Train I have been pondering this little scheme for a while, I would hook up a few carts to a train and just drive it around, say there are 7 carts I would have it go Conducter, living quarters, living quarters and also entertainment section( to ease the tension) ,storage(food),storage(other), vehicle storage, Guard quarters(so it is easy for armed survivors to get off and check out small towns for supplies, survivors or clear the tracks. I would also have a couple birds nest on each cart to be extra cautious. So the routine would be travel around the tracks until I come to civilization then send out a heavily armed search party to look for the usual supplies and survivors. So how does that sound to yall

  • Could you do it? Okay, this is a scenario and I want you to answer with opinions, thoughts, and hopefully positive feedback regarding my thread making ability, though not holding my breath on the last : p

    This is the scenario:

Raiders attacked your compound / your convoy the day or two before, you were low on food as it was and if you had a garden, it was ruined in the fight or it didn't grow well this year. Your group managed to force the raiders to retreat, though they are surely waiting in a nearby area, and gathering some numbers to attack again. Some of your group died, many were injured, and you don't have much medical supplies.

A lot of your ammo was used in defending it, and the morale of your team is at an all-time low, children crying because one parent is dead and the other is bleeding to death, a mere piece of cloth covering the wound which is soaked in blood, maybe some children needing insulin to survive, and other members needing key medical supplies to survive.

You and three other adults/people who are not children were not injured, one being the person who monitors the radio. In some sort of miracle, a mega-colony had a train load of supplies being shipped from the city to a new area they are going to use as a colony, area. Your team overhears the destination and the trains location, getting the location, maps, and checks the gas tanks of the vehicles that aren't too damaged to drive, discovering they don't have enough gas to make it to the location.

The train holds medical supplies, medical equipment, ammo, weapons, gas, food, and building materials, possibly even vehicles and parts, (Keep going until your hearts content.) and even a giant moving base if you know how to use the train.
