  • Weapon Set Well basically my intended survival group has 12 people in it and I need you guys' opinion on my set of weapons. All together we have a very nice BowTech Compound Bow, two .22 rifles both with scopes, two pump action 12 gauge shotguns, one overunder 12 gauge shotgun, one single shot 12 gauge shotgun, one pump action 20 gauge shotgun, one semiautomatic 10 gauge shotgun, one 17HMR Tack Driver, one .22 revolver, one Glock Pistol, two Mosin Nagants, and one .50 Cal Muzzleloader. When judging this keep in mind I have around 300 rounds for each caliber these weapons require and all 12 people in the group are very familiar with each gun and are very accurate. Also all 12 people are between ages 14 and 18.

  • My Zombie Survival Plan This is my means of Survival in a Zombie Apocalypse. Please comment and help me improve it for the Future.

Friends: I would go along with one friend "Jakob Brodie" because the more people the more supplies. If you have 2 people then atleast you have a backup and not too much food would be required. Maybe i could go in 3's and bring "Nic Gaulsaa" as then we would have more backup, Although taking more supplies to keep.

Food: Before i leave home i would take my fishing backpack and pack it with any canned foods i can handle and take my Fly Rod with some Flies. I live in a Coastal Region so i could catch some fish in fresh unpolluted waters. This will not be enough food to survive so i would also need to get more means of food because there are 2-3 people so i would try (If Safe) get to a Super Market or Service Station. We would bring hessian bags and pack as much food as possible into it. This would hopefully be enough food to last 2 weeks and by then we would have travelled to a new location to refresh supplies. At home i would also pack some form of a pan to cook on.

Fire: I would pack some of my flint and steels to light some fire and hopefully last long enough for me to get to the Fire Station (I am in the Rural Fire Service) to get a driptorch and be able to light quite big fires. There is plenty of wood near me because there is forests all around me.

Transport: I would leave my house in a car, There will hopefully be enough fuel to get my friends and make it to the Fire Station and get into the Category 9 Fire Vehicle (Ute). We would get some tools from the Fire Station along with a Drip Torch (said above) and Food (said above).

Weapons: Before leaving my house i would take a Knife and an Axe. The sharper the tool the less blood will get on me. This should suffice until i get to the Fire Station and get a RakeHoe and a Driptorch along with other small tools.

  • Shotgun Nomination Thread 2012. Hola everyone! The time has come again for the annual ZSDW Weapon Election! On this thread, you can nominate the shotgun you think is the best choice for when the SHTF.

    A few rules:
    1. You must provide reasons as to why you think so. Simply saying "Because I said so" isn't good enough.
    2. The shotgun must be reasonable available to the public.Let's try to keep prices under 2K.
    3. For any weapon with a large number of variants, they will all be grouped as a series on the ballot. E.G. instead of "Mossberg 500" and "Mossberg 535" being two different choices, they'd both be included in the Mossberg 500 series.

IMPORTANT! If you have any questions, I ask that you read the Election page first. PM me with any further questions. Thanks in advance, and happy nominating!

Voting will commence on August 16th.

For my nomination, I pick the Remington 1100. I've fallen in love with the gun. It's very reliable, and one'a the softest-shooting shotguns I've ever seen. It can be a bit bulky at times, but overall the reasonable price and good features make it a favorite of mine.

    Nominated so far:
    Remington 1100 series
    Remington 870 series
    Kel-Tec KSG
    Mossberg 500 series
    Benelli Nova
    Winchester 1300
    Ithaca Model 37
    Benelli M3
    Browning BPS
    Winchester Model 12

  • Handgun Nomination Thread 2012 Hola everyone! The time has come again for the annual ZSDW Weapon Election! On this thread, you can nominate the handgun you think is the best choice for when the SHTF.

    A few rules:
    1. You must provide reasons as to why you think so. Simply saying "Because I said so" isn't good enough.
    2. The handgun must be reasonably available to the public. Let's try to keep the prices under 2K.
    3. For designs that are extremely prolific, just nominate it under a series. E.G. Instead of nominating "Glock 34" or "Kimber Super Carry Pro", just go with Glock series or 1911 series.

IMPORTANT! If there are any questions, I ask that you please read the attached Election page first. PM me with any further questions.

    Thanks, and happy nominating!

Voting will commence on August 16th.

For my nomination, I will nominate the S&W L-frame series of revolvers (581, 586, 681, 686, etc.) It combines the comfortable grip of the K-frame with the sturdiness of the N-frame, and IMO is a very nice weapon. Accurate, powerful, fires common ammo, and is extremely reliable.

    Nominations so far:
    S&W L-frame.
    1911 series
    Glock series
    Colt Detective Special
    Springfield Armory XD series
    Sig P226
    Ruger P series
    Browning Hi Power
    T/C Contender
    Taurus Judge
Walther PP (includes PPK and PPK/S)
    Beretta 92
    S&W M&P

    A few rules:
    1. You must provide reasons as to why you think so. Simply saying "Because I said so" isn't good enough.
    2. The rifle must be reasonable available to the public. No 7.82 Lazzeroni Warbird boltguns. Let's try to keep prices under 2K.
    3. Any design that has a large number of variants will just be grouped as a "series." E.G. instead of "Smith and Wesson M&P15" and "Bushmaster Carbon-15" being listed as different choices, they both would be grouped under "AR-15."

IMPORTANT! If anyone has any questions, I ask that you please read the Election page this thread is attached to. PM me with any additional questions. Thanks, and happy nominating!

For my nomination, I pick the same gun I did last year: the Winchester 1894 .30-30. It's light, handy, accurate, relatively hard-hitting, low-recoiling, and fires a common round.

Voting will commence on August 16th.

    Nominations so far:
    Winchester 1894
    Ruger 10/22

Anyway if you see it that way most COmputer hardware review website are a farse because hardware is offered by the brands and they just ssay good things about it because is good for both? You are wrong.

They won't provide false information online, because that will cause them both problems.
