Hmm. I think I would use cars, a lot of them. You dont actually need crane if not in a hurry. Just push em were you want them to be. Since the zombies are not so good at vaulting over things, they PROPABLY crawl under. But IF they do vault over cars, just use some Semi-Auto sidearm to make them to stop. And the funniest part would be that if you know how to operate crane, just drop junk on the cars as Zeds are trying to vault/craw. Vóla!

I think one of those gasoline powered Headge trimmers, or whatever there for with a circular saw blade on it,, They're strong enough to cut through very thick branches and bushes I think that would be a good weapon. Carry a gas can backpack of some kind or better yet post up at a gas-station with a manual pump set up and start slayin me all, also have a side arm or two for when your not able to chop em up, haha maybe maybe not anybody think so?

Should the nearest Costco be previously used up (strewn with bodies and the good stuff looted) , good fall back locations might be Home Depot or Lowes. While the front doors are windowed, there is enough building material in stock to secure it quickly enough. No real food in there, though one could at least pull an espresso cart from the parking lot in through the bay doors first.

I have finally uploaded my new map to this page to replace the old picture of the US. You can click JOIN on this map and it will allow you to create a brief profile to list your location, name, callsign, apocalypse occupation, and a shoutout. I am leaving the old links, because there are a few people who have already added to those pages. This map is worldwide, and you can pick your "dot" based on what you are best at.

When the lights go out I use a power inverter. It runs off a 12 volt battery and I'v powered Lights for 5 days at ren faires with out any trouble. Also recharges cell phones nicely. A 12 volt battery is easy to find and rechargeable.

Well said, Blayde. I'm far more akin to this bit of understanding. I beleive we do see zomibes as the easiest outlet of this desire. I also have an irrational fear of zombies, which factors in this case. I've been fascinated with the Apocolypse for a very long time... and honestly I'd enjoy the strangeties that would follow as purpose. To live is my purpose... I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. It boils down to simple desire to have purpose...

I mean no offense to anyone or to disgrace anyone's ideas, but realistically this page is full of crap. Bulletproof glass? Where exactly do you plan to get that shaped to fit your specific vehicle? And what about the weight of level IV armor plating and bulletproof glass? You think any stock-ish new car can take that? Self inflating tires? What? Yeah they do exist, but I think a bottle of the green Slime would work good too. Quote: 'Move the engine from front to back" So you are going to build a full one off custom classic vehicle only to destroy it in a zombie apocalypse... get a VW Beetle... the engine's already where you want it. And nearly everybody wants a .50 cal machine gun mounted SOMEWHERE... Where the hell do you plan to pick one of those up when the cities are on fire. I'm glad to see the imagination, but please keep it realistic... and know when to admit your current car is a piece of shit and say that you plan to steal something else when the time comes like SuperSoldierRCP and his bus. Anyways..... the rant's over.

Not Walmart...NOOOOOO!!! It's a deathtrap, it's essentially a city but in building form. Everyone goes to Walmart, there is no long-term prospect (most food will spoil and it is still a clothing/toy/electronic centred building (which sucks when you need practical supplies. Again, everyone will be there, everyone will go there, so it is just begging for the good old human fail (people themselves screwing up the survival chances). It doesn't matter how many ps2s you have when you need more canned goods. Either find a distribution center (doesn't have to be a walmart), or simply get out of the cities!
Oh, and with Walmart, you don't really get to choose who's staying with you. Everyone's coming, whether you like it or not.

Say that there are late class 1 and early class two outbreaks scattered throughout your country, with more severe ones in the cities and a few in foreign countries. If you saw some dude yelling at a crowd that this is divine punishment or the end of the world and that we should accept it and not try to fight the zombies, would it be a good idea to shoot him in the head before he starts convincing people, so there would be a few less zombies, or should you let him convince people so that there will be less humans to compete with you for resources?

Well, the Space Needle is a Defensible Location, but not one designed for survival. Also, it is the exact center of one of the largest citys in the state, so you would A: not be able to get to it because of too many zombies in the way, or B: Too many survivors got there too early, you starve to death. Also you pointed out there would be no way to get supplies, and this is my number 1 concern. Without adequate supplies, what are you going to last, a week? 2? Either way, you will find that unless somehow the military stops by the roof and picks you up you are screwed.

We've discussed what rifles we would carry and someone has started a what shotgun would you carry so how about it, what sidearm would you pack. I personally really like the HK USP .45acp, Its accurite holds 12 rounds and if I encounter a pissed off human the .45 is a large enough round to take down anyone. i also like the old 1911s but the HK just tugs a little tighter at tighter at my heart strings.

In fifteen days, five countries are collapsed, and chaos reigns everywhere else? I think it would take more than a month for the infection to spread that much. It would probably also start in one city, if it can only be spread by bodily fluids. It would stay where it originated until a few people that traveled regularly were infected, then it would jump to and start spreading from wherever they traveled to. So, after a week and a half-ish, every country that has tourist year round is probably infected. Then it would start following your pattern.

I have to wonder whether a helmet would actually be a good idea or not. I would think it would limit your visibility and ability to hear faint noises, in addition to being hot and uncomfortable. Now that I think about it, it almost seems like most of the additions to this page are aimed at taking the fight to the zeds, which should be the last thing on anybody's survival checklist.

Unless silenced is a gun a good idea, not if your on your own in open country as every Z in the local area would be attracted to your location.
I live in the UK so we don't have guns as person weapons (which i am so glad of) so we would be relying on other weapons, the crowbar would be my weapon of choice as it has multiple uses.
