even without the onset of rigor mortis, which would more often than not happen, a person who died of infection, thus escaping bodily harming effects and destruction, would still have failing and decrepit bio mass because of the coma and heart failure and atrophy that would take place as the infection took its toll leaving all but the most rare of zombies a shambling mess 0  out of 2 found this valuable. I never made the statement that all Zed's would be able to run if presented with this condition, I was merely presenting the circumstances where by it may be possible. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Zombies can only run for 3-7 days after becoming a full blown zombie, otherwise they shamble and limp Do you find this valuable?

How fast is a Zed? An Olympic runner can do 15 mph, around a 3-4 min mile sprint and I believe the marothoners are 8 min.s
An average person in good condition could do a 10 min. mile for a short distance(15-20 miles?). Most the Zeds aren't going to be athetes. What say you?

Well if you consider they don't need to breathe to live then it all depends on how fresh a zombie they are.

Like for example: Your friend just died and rises after being bitten, you back away and he starts walking over to you,you begin to run, lets say your me,id die because i could only escape for so long on an open stretch so the only desicion woud be to run and hide

Well that kinda depends now doesn't it? I mean rigor mortis sets in because the muscles have ceased movement and there is no fluid moving around the joint or muscle, so it could be concievable that if fluid did remain in motion and not say dry up or cogaulate it may run for far longer, this is all hypothetical though.

I did not think of the breathing idea. I did consider the fact that they feel no pain and could, if the fluids alowed, run at the maxium speed their tissue and bone could endure. Do you find this valuable?

3-7 before rigor sets in,it depends on the "person" when they were living, like some old person with arthritis will sucum to rigor faster than a person that takes care of their body. Do you find this valuable?

you see with in lack of brains and sense the zombies have to sniff out and spot their victims if they get enough fiber from the human body they walk faster and sometimes walk if so use any kind of a explosive to kill them or what i say RUN LIKE HELL!
