otherwise i'd say moving in a fast, crouched position while carrying a firearm as you would in any combat situation with people shooting would make it fairly obvious your alive

Simply carrying a weapon, close combat or ranged, in a ready and active fashion would be the easiest way. It's something that should likely be done regardless of fear of snipers, as it will allow you to be ready for zombie attack, as well as inform those around you for your being alive. The problem however does seem to be more apparent at night, as many simple action, made much more visible during the day, would make it apparent you are alive, such as quick movement, reactions, carrying objects, etc. However at night, it is far more difficult also for a sniper for example to see a target, as well as to see as symbol of life.

I'm pretty sure you can air guitar with your rifle or crowbar. That way, you not only trigger the curiousity of the shooter, but can also be ready for any threat that comes your way.

True.... so the problem almost seems to be a non problem.... often times also, you won't be trying to pick off zombies during the night, unless you feel they are too close to your base, and if you are moving at night, you would be best not to linger long enough for it to be a problem. Even if you run into someone else living at night, you're reaction to them should be enough of proof you are alive.So, when it comes down to it, it really isn't as much of a problem as we seem to be treating it as..... 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Well there are 2 ways of attacking the problem. The first is you don't neccesarily have to be seen. You could use camoflouge until you are close enough to explain. The drawbacks are you might scare the person and they will shoot you. Or he has had to much mental damage and has excepted the fact that the Human race is extinct except for him. The second way of attacking it is a little more tricky. Your goal should be to do everything a zombie wouldn't do. However you will have to do it slowly as not to spook the person (Just as a percaution) and that in itself is acting like a Zombie. You could probably wear bright clothing because they might realize that a zombie's clothing would be torn. You shouldn't make niose however as you may attract zombies and that would suck. The 2 hands on the head thing makes sense.

How 'bout using blood to spell out letters? I mean, there should be a surplus of blood everywhere, won't attract zombies, and it is easy to do. You can do it while hidden.

"there needs to be an official "Hey I'm not a zombie please do not shoot me in the head" sign. You know like when you want to say "Im choking" you put your hands to your throat. maybe both hand flat on top of your head, something like that. I know you can just yell it to peple you see, but whatabout this scenario. your walking through a town after Z-day and it seems empty. Your looking for supplies, food, ect and you dont want someone plugging you in the head from long range. What do you do? Somthing as simple as a hand signal should do. Its quite and should be easily seen by anyone who is within a headshot distance. This method is used by the armed forces when entering a F.O.B. (forward observation base) I think is should be executed by one making an L with there index finger and thumb across there forehead as a symbol for living. Please message me back if you feel this is or isnt a good idea and why?

The best, meaning easiest and most feasible, thing to do would be to wear a hat. Any hat. The vast majority of "Deaders" won't be wearing one and those of us that have survived so-far SHOULD be wearing one to protect against the sun. Its simple, obvious, and for the most part only the living will be willing to put a hat back on after it comes off.
