Stand and fight or hide

Do you think going out everyday and killing zombies would be a good idea or just staying put and hiding would be good?

I think it depends. If you can wait it out (decomp, military help, etc.) I would wait. But if none of that is coming and your position is secure enough, it might be beneficial to engage in small sorties with the zombies. But long range and if you start to lose the odds hightail it out of there.

once i have freinds and people who i will fight with we will take the fight to the zombies we well take are city back it will take awhile but a city is better then a school

I would fight when needed that way you don't waste ammo which is as good as gold post Z-day but if my base is attacked. Run is last resort if i'm in a group i would be the last to leave holding the rear. If bitten i would go dead man run(kill as many as possible while killing myself aka a bomb) and say te best i'm dead move on line for zombies "You going to have to work for your meal'" alla Resident evil one

The trouble is in most areas fight,AKA, shooting is only helps on the short term. !0 Zeds come we shoot them, 30 more hear the shots and come. Firing and falling back to another defendable location is going to be needed. In a long fight there are more zeds than we have ammo. I think to help buy time we can do simple things like lay out a bunch of old tires. We could run over then by stepping in the hole , zeds would be a traffic jam. I would buy more time than wasting ammo. Off the point but a thought.

It would be impossible to take everything that we have in the house and run. As long as the house is safe and defendable I'll stay, Use the suppies that can not be moved easily and when the time comes move out (having already been packed)

I think periodic raids are the way to go. But don't work on New York. Start small. Once you rid a couple of tons of zeds then you can get excercise equipment, electronics, guns, ammo, food and such you can draw them out of walk through the street with a pistol.

Depends on how well you thought through your base of operations mine will take me about 2 hours to get to since i need to grab my gun and my 2 sisters and my moms pass cards for the doors the building runs on hydrogen generators generators that are in the stream next door so i won't lose power and it has 7 floor perfect for my area of expertise most people when you ask where would they go they say Wal-mart or some place with food the place i am going you need only one thing an elestronic pass card or computer knowledge if you hide out in a wal-mart you have to problems 1 wide doors for easy entrance and 2 most the food is perishable. your best be is to go somewhere with enough exits to get out if your made (found) and has a nearby gunshop and store it also helps that my hiding spot is next door to a water purification post that is water powered as for food they have enough canned goods to feed the army for 3 years so with the projected 8 people i'll allow in i think we coud hold out a while. another thing is the basement has a bomb shelter incase the government gets an ichy trigger finger

Kill when I need to kill and the rest of the time I will worry about getting by. If I get into a large group (colony), I would be glad to do fence watch, but I think I would leave the going out and hunting down Zombies to the younger survivors. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

i will trust what good ol Auron says from FFX "dont bother going after all of them... cut the ones that matter and RUN!" heres what i see. hiding will only get you into trouble. reasons: you are not mobile, you HAVE to depend on the surrounding area for supplies, if zombies find you, you will be overwhelmed eventually. going up and fighting the Zzzs is not a great idea either. reasons: well to start if you take the fight to them you will most likely get surrounded and overwhelmed. i think that running is better then both. reasons: well to start you are always on the move making a harder target to hit, you can live off the land, and well... umm, im tired and about to fall asleep so i cant think of any mor cause my bran shut down. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. but if you cut the ones that matter than thats all of them cause everyone you leave "alive" is one that can come back to haunt you

Well, with 6 billion zombies walking the earth, odds are you will be found eventually. I wouldn't hide, but it won't be my goal to survive by searching for zombies to kill either =P
