Dekalb County Alabama
Mar 1 2008, 8:15 PM EST
All of the land west of the county is only accessable by two bridges that cross the Tennessee River. Land to the south of the county is mainly open, ranging from mountains to farmland. The entire area of Dekalb is mostly the last chain of the Appilacians. Most of the land is on the uphill. All roads leading into the county could be roadblocked or barricaded. If the two bridges west are destroyed along with the other minor bridges, this area of Alabama would be inaccessable to any zombies, and the nearest land cross in the north would be Tennessee. If prepared in advance, the entire county could be a fortress within weeks with help of the National Guard and volunteers. The land to the east comprises of Georgia state line, and a valley. Any hardcore survivors should look into Dekalb as becoming a natural stragic point for survial. On a location that would be to fall back to, I would suggest the Jackson County area, which is in the valley, and also the Tennessee River itself if you have a boat. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
