Whats your source for that 97%/3% figure?

I seriously doubt the validity of those numbers.

Fight or flight and all that good stuff.

If someone/something is trying to kill you it's not that big of a leap(at least in my mind) to say that it's in our nature to try and kill em right back. I CCW any time im not at school and i truly believe that if a situation arose where my life was in danger and there was no opportunity to flee I’d have no problem putting two in the chest of some ass hat. I wouldn't even bother to carry if I believed I wasn't capable of doing so.
In a kill or be killed situation there’s no way in hell that 97% of people would have no desire to retaliate with lethal force.

I agree for the most part...

Although, maybe the proper way to look at this is that 3% might actually want to kill the enemy(want as in not out of fear, but out of a kind of enjoyment?), while 97% doesn't want to, but will because it is their duty and because they don't want to die themselves. or something.

I honestly do not know, though...

I do have to say, however, there was this one army of Japanese soldiers where over 99% (only 6 [maybe 60/600 don't remember] out of the thousands on the island, were killed in combat or committed suicide. That there is mad dedication to one's cause.
Do you find this valuable?
