May 16 2008, 2:11 PM EDT The Romans used a sponge on a stick. Some how I think I would enjoy doing that to a Sponge Bob Square pants Sponge. I hate that thing. Do you find this valuable? |

May 17 2008, 1:30 PM EDT Hand is a bad option unless your well off with soap. The ecoli(sp?) that you might injest will make you very sick. Sponge-on-a-stick [which I'll market someday - I swear I will :)] is better, but you still might get disintery(once again -sp?). If you go the leaves route, avoid plants with 3 or 5 leaves unless you know d@mn sure what it is (poison oak - 3 leaves, poison ivy - 3 leaves, poison sumac - 5 leaves). Otherwise you'll wind up with an itch so bad death by zombies may become attractive. Do you find this valuable? |

May 18 2008, 3:01 PM EDT Simple use right hand to eat with and left hand to wipe. If someone commits a crime cut off their left hand. Do you find this valuable? |

May 18 2008, 10:19 PM EDT I'v made paper from scratch. But, it has a long way to go before it's TP. Right now it's more like cardboard, just not as thick. Do you find this valuable? |

May 18 2008, 10:24 PM EDT Might be a good time to go to the library and pick up some books. Shouldn't be too many people there, and we need books to start a new life anyhow. I've had to read some books I thought would make good T.P. Do you find this valuable? |

May 22 2008, 2:35 PM EDT When I was doing GPOI operations in Mongolia, I was sick as a dog. When we got a chance to go into the city, I went into a rest room, and not a single stall had Tp. Of course this was after I unloaded explosivley. Needless to say I sacrificed a sock. 10 minutes later I had cut a leg off my boxers and sacrificed that as well. Back in the day I believe they used strips of cloth that they washed. But a sponge on a stick isnt a bad idea, specially if you wash it and store it in disinfectant. Do you find this valuable? |

"Go for something by some of those zombie rights nuts, you know those that don't want you to have an effective personnel defense device, like an Uzi. Cult followers of Clinton or Obama must have written a few, probably on expensive (soft) paper. Rush would use that cheap scratchy stuff for his books. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 3 2008, 11:17 PM EDT lol, very entertaining answers. I agree with using the sponge on a stick. If nothing else, go commando and don't wipe (disgusting and unsanitary, but still better than being caught by a zed). Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 4 2008, 3:15 PM EDT I'm starting to regret the immature toilet humor... Let's hope no one takes it seriously. I do like the idea of leaves. Better than a cloth or sponge because you don't have to carry around a smelly, shit-covered thing potentially for days until you find a stream to wash it in. As said above, make sure they're not poisonous to you. In all probability, though, we'll end up just not wiping. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 4 2008, 6:18 PM EDT Eat food that is almost completely digestible, little or nothing comes out, so nothing to clean up. Examples would be meat, eggs, milk, sugar, fats, some vegetable matter with little to no fiber. Remember if you want to avoid tp use fiber is your enemy. http://www.oldandsold.com/articles32n/meat-retailing-22.shtml Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 5 2008, 12:31 AM EDT Our ancestors didn't wipe, and it worked for them for thousands of years. Wiping is a commodity, not a necessity. Do you find this valuable? |
